Anyone 'round these parts?

Mr Beefy is driving me crazy.
I've been trying to get stains out of clothes all day.  We'll see if I was successful or if I just ruined them all soon :)
Trying to figure out what to make for dinner tonight.  I think I'm going with pork chops (which I won't eat) red wine risotto and green beans.  Should be good enough.
I'm also making a list of all the things H and I have to do tomorrow.  The most important thing being wine and cheese tasting.
What's everyone doing?

  • I just took Chef D on a long walk through the French Quater.  It takes a while because he is stopped every few feet.

Then he came home wired. Like running around in circles around the apartment?   I guess he missed the memo that Bulldogs are lazy.

Now DH (who has been sick for 3 days now) and him a passed out.

I was off today, but have been dealing with a guy who is going to propose tonight. So I have to go in for an hour or so and set everything up.  It would have been nice if he chose breakfast to do this, but noooo he wanted a romantic candlelight dinner (who does that?? - the nerve -  lol) and I had to wait all day just to go in for an hour.

  • I think I'm too new to participate in night threads, but I'm bored so I'm going to shove my way in anyway. I went shopping today and it was exhausting. My dad and I are both getting married this year, so today we were dress shopping for out BM dresses for my dad's wedding. It was fun, but the other BMs are very indecisive and my future stepmom doesn't have a lot of opinions, so it was a lot of, "I like this one. But I like all the other ones, too. So whatever the rest of you want is fine." That was tiring and frustrating.

Red wine risotto sounds super delicious.

  • The packers finally showed up.  I already packed up half the kitchen, but at least now they are here for the heavy lifting (two rooms of books and all of my pots and pans and ordinary dishes).  We have to leave for dinner in an hour and a half.

    Back to work!

  • This will sound lame, but we were building with Legos earlier and H finished his before me. He is now on his way to get batteries for the motor.
We haven't done much today, but we took a nice walk looking for houses. I think we are going to get pizza for dinner.
  • Legos and pizza sound awesome, Megs.

Now I'm really going back to packing.  I was distracted by the engagement ring thread.
  • Building with legos sounds like a fantastic way to spend a Saturday. I heartily approve.

  • I'm watching tv and debating what I want to make for dinner.  I met my friend at Walmart earlier and we walked around for like 2 hours out of boredom.  But I did get some stuff to put in H's next package at least.

  • I always want to play with the legos at Downtown Disney but there are usually so many kids running around in the way ;).

I did a little bit of scrapbooking and now I'm watching tv. I cooked a flank steak with a blue cheese spread and it was so yummy.

    Nothing too exciting here.

  • I find Walmart being a great way to kill boredom. When my friend or I get bored after 10 PM, we usually decide to make a trip there, since there's a 24 hour one nearby. I always end up coming home with the most random stuff. The best was when I got crayons and a princess coloring book.

  • I had leftover pizza for breakfast and lunch. Uhh oops.

  • I was voluntold to do Jr Legos with students and H brought a couple of kits home. I couldn't resist!

  • All I've had to eat today are Lindor truffles left over from Valentine's Day. My excuse is that V-Day was almost 2 weeks ago, so they will go bad if I don't eat all of them right now... right?

  • I'm relaxing after a fun knottie gtg and trying to figure out what to wear to my firm's party tonight.

  • I just finished a bowl of cereal and gave E a bath. Now I'm feeding him and then we have to run to the store and get some things. Pizza last night was delicious. The chicken that is in the crock pot right now smells amazing.

  • I love playing with legos. We also used to go to walmart to pass time when everything else was closed.

  • I'm trying to decide if I want to go to Michael's and look at crafts. FI is studying for a licensure test he has in April so I'm on my own if I want to do anything.

  • I'm sorry that you have to go in for an hour Lynda. I hope it doesn't turn into longer than that.

  • Yall are talking about pizza again? Definitely need to have some for dinner to get rid of the cravings yall are making me have. Haha.

I've had a minor head ache for the past few days so I just got out of a warm bubble bath. Head ache is still here but the rest of my body feels amazing.

<div>thx.  I will be worth it if the proposal goes well.  I wish my boss would have just handled it (he is working today), but he wanted me to come in instead. </div>

  • I haven't had good pizza in a long time. Cold pizza is one of my favorite breakfast foods. Yum.

That sucks that you have to go in Lynda.

I feel like I was productive today.  I finished the book I was reading, I went to the office to work on a project (it's not work-related but I knew there would be too many distractions I'd stayed at home and tried to do it) and actually made significant progress, went to the grocery store, and now I'm just sitting here watching SVU and waiting on my Chinese delivery.  I'm going to start reading The Help at some point tonight.
  • I've never liked my pizza cold. My brother prefers it that way though. I will say that I like leftover pizza better than fresh pizza. Weird, I know.
  • I will eat pizza hot or cold, I don't care.

  • I read The Help last summer and absolutely loved it. I watched the movie afterward and thought it was pretty good, too, although it left out some good stuff.

I hate cold pizza. It makes me feel sick.

  • I loved The Help in book form but couldn't stand the movie. My H thought it was pretty funny.

  • The books always leave stuff out.
  • I think I have to go make a wine run.

  • I loved The Help. It was so easy to get into. I started reading it on a flight and was so into it I didn't realize the plane was broken and we had been sitting there for 45 min.
