Day 2 - 30 Day Shred

Good Morning Ladies!! How is everyone feeling this morning? I am a bit surprised because I run, swim, and bike regularly but I am sore this morning. I am off today so I slept until 5:30 then did my weight and measurements and did level 1 and 2. I am soaking wet, although I was sweaty about 5 minutes after I started. Great job everyone! Let's keep going! Something I did for motivation yesterday is I took a picture of my wedding dress and taped it to the tv so I can see it when I look at the screen (it doesn't impede me seeing the workout).

Good morning.  Glad you did your workout - both level 1 AND level 2!  YEAH. I did level 1 last night and don't feel much soreness today. I'm sure if I bumped it up to Level 2 or 3 I would! I just walked 50 minutes with the dog and am off to do a spin class.  I will do Day 2 Shredding tonight or over lunch.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LADIES!

Great job Moonstone! Have you ever done a triathlon? I know you've mentioned swimming and running.

Yes, I did my first triathlon a few months ago. http://eatlivebewell.blogspot.com/2009/09/adventures-of-first-time-triathlete.html I ran a marathon and two half marathons also this year!  What about you?  Any Tris?  other races?Where do you live dogluver?  I'll be looking for workout/running/biking buddies when I move up to Tampa come February.

I live in Lakeland. I've done about 10 sprint tris, did my first marathon in January (Disney) and have run several halfs (I'm doing the St. Pete half on Nov. 22). I'm currently training for the St. Anthony's Olympic distance tri in April 2010.

SOOO I ended up doing day 1 late last night because I got home so late, and woke up this morning early and just finished day 2. I hate Jillian! I didnt realize how badly I am out of shape. I went for a jog with my dog before I started but I was barely panting, then by the end of the second set on the dvd I was already panting! I can tell its going to work for me, Im excited~ I like the idea of putting the dress picture up on the tv....my first dress fitting is next Thursday!

Jet2paris - do you live on the north side or south side? I live near Lake Hollingsworth and walk it often. If you're ever up for a walk, let me know.

dogluver- I live on northside but I enjoy walking Hollingsworth. I use to go to college at Southeastern right near Hollingsworth! We should definitely get together. I have a puppy that would love to walk too ; )

Moonstone where about in Tampa are you moving to?

vroxy - I'll be moving into Fi's house which is right on the Tampa/Brandon border.

I live in South Tampa so Im not sure how far that would be from where I am but I would love to find someone to workout with. That way I can back out of going to the gym or for a run so easily!

I decided to join you all and just did day 1 this morning, that is a hard workout! I've been jogging regularly but this really got me sweating!. Taping a picture of the dress to the TV is a great idea, that is my main motivation since I weigh more now than when I bought the dress!

vroxy - I'll most likely join a training group when I move up there and start training for a half marathon or something.  It will be a great way to meet people.  Interested?I'm always up for a run along Bayshore, so I'll travel to you!!!!

I don't know about what running clubs are in Tampa, but I'll check it out soon.I'd say they normally cost $100 and last 4 months or so and you train for a certain race.It is fun because you have a group you run with and it makes it fun.  I hate running otherwise.

To anyone in the Brandon area: there is a great running group called the Brandon Running Association (BRA). They are the best bunch of people and run at all different paces. Elton is the current President (I guess that's what you call him) and he is so dedicated and makes everyone feel welcome. I joined about a year and a half ago. The yearly dues are like $10-$15. They have meetings once a month at Giordano's in Brandon that includes beer, pizza and water and maybe soda. They run 6 days a week and you can any and all runs that you want. Once a week is dedicated to a hills workout (great workout), one run is sprint workout at a local high school and one run is usually a longer run (Saturday mornings). The other run are usually at Nature's Way in Valrico/Brandon area (nice neighborhood with many active people and the loop is 4 miles).
