Emi, I'll bring the wine. Your picture cracks me up.

I'm so irritated with my future IL's right now...my FIs mom is trying to take over our entire Thanksgiving holiday without considering that we have other families to spend time with that day (2 others!). On top of that crap, my FIs dad won't let go and realize that Tony's 26! He's an adult! He can take care of things himself, and doesn't need him nit-picking, being a jerk, and treating him like he's still 12! You know what he asked the other day? "Why don't you ever come spend the weekend with me anymore?" SERIOUSLY? Maybe because he's engaged and him and his FI have a house, and furbabies to take care of...not to mention their own lives!Sorry...I feel a little better now :)

Oh and it wasn't a Range Rover.  Or a Hummer.  It was an Escalade with rims.  Duh.

I am tired of being sick.  I am tired of my meds.  I have to eat every 8 hours to take my stupid meds and that is not helping me feel wedding dress ready.I am also very upet that I don't get the channel that shows brideszilla because I wanna see!

Does anyone know when it is supposed to air?
  • edited December 2011
I like wine! And when you come over, I'll let you try on the St. Pattys Belt. It's classy. Okay, so The Bump totallly freaks me out. Then again, I have no desire to be pregnant. I judge people for really like Olive Garden. And then I feel sorry for them.

Lindsey, I know exactly how you feel.  Just breathe.  Let her know you've got to see what your family is doing for Thanksgiving and make some compromising. It was really hard our first Thanksgiving.  His mom wanted us to have lunch with them-but that's the time most of my family members (read: my pappaw, my aunt and uncle, cousins, sister and her husband and kids, and my parents get together).  The only people that get together in his family is his parents and his brother.  It's much harder for me to move my family's plans around that it is for her.  The same with Christmas.  I've realized that from now on, planning the holidays is just going to be stressful and a little annoying.

I have had two comments on my YouTube videos that say I could be a future Tracy Turnblad (the fat lead girl in Hairspray).  I'm depressed.  I'm gonna step up the workouts now I think....meh.

Emi, then you'd feel sorry for me.  I LOVE their breadsticks.  And their cheesy ravioli.  But I know there is better stuff out there, too. I can't wait to wear the belt.  I'll wear it proudly.  And I'll try to remember to wear coordinating clothing. I'm not sure when it's supposed to air.  I went on the website and it's not offering up any info.

I've realized that from now on, planning the holidays is just going to be stressful and a little annoying. This is the reason that Jeff and I have decided to go on a mini-vacation for Thanksiving from here on out. It is ONE day and it isn't worth the travel/stress/coordination.

Mariah, you're not allowed to come over anymore. Instead you should go to Olive Garden. :)

I've realized that from now on, planning the holidays is just going to be stressful and a little annoying. This sucks...Maybe they'll all move away and can make the excuse that we can't make it because of travel...hmm...how coulde this be coordinated?

I'm not going to lie...i like their salad and their ravioli, but carinos bread is much better!
  • edited December 2011
hahaahaha!!  But it IS authentic!!!  ;)  Mandy, I'm sure they just meant it as a compliment. But that would get me down, too.  That's like when my dad said something about my weight on my FB.

I admit the breadsticks are good. HOWEVER, I judge when ppl think it is God's gift to Italian food. i,e. Kendra from the Girls Next Door... :)And Buttercup is right, It isn't Authentic. :)Now I'm hungry and I have myself to blame.

Speaking of hungry.  On top  of my oatmeal this morning, I managed to also eat 2 chocolate donuts.  THEN was offered free Chick-fil-a.  I never, ever turn down chick-fil-a.  So I just devoured an 8 piece nugget and fry with a diet lemonade.  Gotta trim the calories somewhere.

When I was 18 I worked at the Olive Garden, and I know how everything is prepared and where it comes from. I will spare you the details, but the only thing that is fresh in that place is the salad.

    That is so disappointing.

I am interested to see the show and how crazy it is. But I have to say, I think we are being a little harsh on her. I dont know her or anything but she doesn't look like she would be a crazy bride. And I thought her wedding was really pretty with all the pink.Who knows....she might not be a crazy bridezilla just maybe wanted to have a high end wedding and had to have fancy things. She just seems like a nice person so I would hate to see her viewed as psycho b!tch you know.

oh I'd TOTALLY do it for a million dollars. but not a penny less. ;) I'd do it for $500,000.  That would pay off our mortgage buy 2 nice new cars. and put a chunk in the retirement account.  That would be worth playing the bi*** on TV.  My family is ridiculously functional and low drama, so playing crazy for the cameras would be kind of fun :-)

I'm super late on everything but let me just say that I would soooo go on Bridezillas for a millon dollars and ham it up big time.  I don't care if a million strangers think I'm a crazy b!tch, really.  My friends and family would all know better anyway.Growing up, my best friend was Italian so I'm fully aware that Olive Garden is less than authentic.  However, I'd eat there every day if I could afford the cash and waistline expansion.  I've also worked in various restaurants and am aware of how less-than-fresh things are everywhere, too.  I don't care.  Good food is good food.  Like the Chicken Express I scarfed for lunch today.  :/Mandy, don't read YouTube comments, ever.  Those commenters are right up there in intelligence with the Yahoo Answers losers.

I knew I was forgetting something: Lindsey, I can commiserate with you.  FI's mom lives in Mexico and wants to go to his dad's house in Austin for Christmas.  She wants the whole family all together and happy and perfect and lovely at Christmas in her husband's tiny, one-bedroom apartment.  She seems to think that if she can just get everyone in one room together, things will magically be wonderful again.  I just want to grab her by the shoulders and scream, "You live in separate countries for a reason, woman!"  We're hoping we can convince her to skip Austin and come hang out with my (also) ridiculously functional family.

Mmmm...Chicken express. Hello Pot, I'm kettle.

-I don't care for Olive Garden-Cheryl- 3 weeks after the holidays to leave up Christmas stuff isn't nothing compared to my grandparents who put up their tree Dec. 29th and took it down around Valentines Day.
