Just engaged! Looking for the best vendors in LA

Hey guys I just recently got engaged.  I am a bit nervous about planning this whole thing.  What are the best vendors/websites (other than theknot!)/or places just to find things out.  We are still figuring out our budget but we are hoping everything will be mid-priced!!

    Try searching this board for the vendor types (i.e. florist, DJ, etc.) and you'll find recommendations from previous conversations. Good luck and have fun!

    Hi!! congratulations!! we used bob gail entertainment - allyson levine was awesome - i recommend getting the package where they do errands for you , help you with things like tying bows (if you are doing your own reception cards and seatings) - i organized my wedding, my mother wasn't helpful so in the end i needed help from them - they ran errands, picked up super glue, brought pics (that i wanted to hang in the reception hall) to the framer - the day ran smoothly - we had it at casa del mar - i would recommend having it there as well - the best videographer is matt odom www.rockandrollhearts.com - he's incredible - i liked our photographers but i wish they listened to me more - here name is judy tran and her images are awesome - her husband is gavin (gavin photography) and i don't like his stuff as much - he came with her as her assistant and i felt like we got more of his style than hers  - but i'm sure if you tell her exactly what you want and drive it home (more than i did) you will get great images - 

    LAST - I am selling an incredible dress that i never wore - i intended to wear it for the reception and the day just flew by so i never got a chance to change - it is from hanna hartnell - it's gorgeous and i would love to keep it but it doesn't make sense financially - it sells for 3K but i am selling it for 2,500 or best offer - it is her swan dress - don't know if that is your style but you can check it out at  http://www.hannahartnell.com/bride.htm -  i am a size 6-8 - let me know if you are interested  - mauralanahan@yahoo.com
