I am so stressed about my job situation, it's all I can think about. I can't sleep, I don't want to think about the wedding, I can't concentrate at work. All I can think about is that on February 19, this job will be over. I had really hoped I'd have something else lined up, but as of now, I don't. I know FI is tired of hearing my whine about it, but I just feel so frustrated.

And this is the second time I've typed this because the knot is dumb.

I am pissed that my FIL is back.  I am double pissed that my FIL is back only because my MIL called him and begged and pleaded for him to come home.  He said he was sorry and that it wouldn't happen again...whatever.  You've done this numerous times before, why should we believe you now?

Also to my "FIL," I am going to be talking to my husband soon about how we intend to deal with you when we have kids.  I don't want you around them.  They deserve better and frankly, I'm tired of making it look like I care about you.

Also, thanks to everyone who recommended dress stores to me yesterday.  I have a lot of websites to visit soon!  :)

We keep hearing this random whistling sound through our air vents.  It started up around midnight last night and kept DH awake (and once he woke me up, I had trouble getting back to sleep).  DH thinks it's something to do with the upstairs' neighbors laundry.  I'm debating how I can be straightforward in asking them about it, or if I should just leave a passive aggressive note on their door along the lines of "Do you hear the same whistling late at night that we do?  Isn't it annoying?  What do you think it is?"

--I can't stand on American Idol when one judge says "100% yes" and then the other judges follow with "500baziliion28gajillion975quintillian % yes!"
Can't you just say "yes"? Paula and Randy did that every season and now just Randy does it and it makes me wish they had kicked him off too. Four judges is too many!

I need to get started on my wedding planning again. I dropped the ball because I got tired of everybody else's two cents. Now its going to be what we want for the wedding and nobody else! sorry! And for my bridesmaid....I am not picky at all about your dress. Really I dont care because its about me that day! I told them 1. same color red 2. different styles and 3. knee length! If you keep asking..I will just pick for you and you might now like it! Sure I would like to see your pick but I get tired of one of them asking me could it be this or that. She always makes eeverything bigger than what it is. Anybody else, I wouldn't care but she has always done this. Love her dearly but goodness!

Ok I am done for now. My session is over.

Speaking of weird noises, our freezer keeps making this loud annoying noise, same thing with my brother's (we live in the same complex).  I called the office about it and they were really nice and said they would send someone over tomorrow.  With the old management they wouldn't take any type of maintenance order over the phone, you had to go in and fill out a form.

I went to HS in Mesquite.  We all knew the hair code for boys.  It's been that way since the late 60s.  The parents of this little boy got the student code of conduct like everyone else.  The school board sets the policy and the school is following it.  Get your kid a haircut so that he can go to free pre-school, homeschool him or send him to a private school who has more relaxed dress/hair code standards.  I'm tired of hearing that they think it's unfair.  It's been that way forever in Mesquite ISD.  If the school board wants to change it, then they will.

my DH is frusterating me.  He left cooked meat out from about 2pm yesterday until just now when I found it.  He says its fine because it is sealed.  I am getting mad because I googled it to show that I am not just being a B****, and he still won't believe me.

    Am I wrong?!

Julie, I agree completely. The whole story is ridiculous.

I admit, I love watching Jeopardy and I am going to miss it when I can now longer watch it.

There are a dozen cupcakes in my fridge that I'm trying not to eat. I must find a new home for them, and soon! I guess I could give them to my neighbor with the new baby, but I'm just so pissed about them parking in my spot, plus the fact that they wanted a super early c-section (which totally irked me), and they give me TMI about every little thing going on...

There is bound to be another home for them...

Is it true that schools have replaced teaching cursive to students with typing/keyboarding?

And no, I do not care that Simon is quitting American Idol. Don't care at all.

I don't know about replacing cursive with keyboarding, but I know that kids don't seem to be learning cursive (whether or not it's being taught.)

My head hurts.  I think I have a sinus infection.  I think I could sleep all day.  Why didn't I stay home?

I think the parents of that boy are ridiculous for keeping their kid from learning because of HAIR.  It's the friggin' dress code.  Your kid is 4 years old.  Cut the dang mop of hair to an acceptable length and let him learn!  I understand that it's a ridiculous rule, especially for a 4 year old boy-but come on!  It also doesn't help your cause that you and your husband look trashy with your tattoos and your gauged out earrings and grungy outfits.  If you're already pulling this stunt with him at 4 years old and he gets away with it-I can't wait to see what he's going to turn out to be when he's a teenager and adult!

You know, I don't know if I've ever seen someone my age write in cursive. That's sad. I use it all the time

ditto about the little boys hair.

and like I said on FB... if you chose to let your little boy have long hair.. and it doesn't have any bearing on his education... fine.. but PLEASE don't put it in a pony tail on the top of his head.. sersiously. why do you want your little boy to look like a girl??

When I was in Houston once, I saw a little boy about that age with a mullet.  I felt so bad because you know that he didn't choose that haircut.

I have one or two kids who write in cursive.  I still write in cursive if it's something just for me.  If I'm writing something on the board for the kids, it's written plainly.

Sorry to be a post hog, but I saw an interview yesterday with the boy's mom.  She used the word justificated.  "I feel justificated to finish this."  It's official:  they're stupid.

Lovey - I don't think you are being a biatch. Bacteria loves to grow in a room temperature environment. I wouldn't eat it now.

I'm going to second the kid and his hair in Mesquite.

The only reason his parents are dragging this out and making such a fuss is because they are getting TV attention and they love it.

I went to the doc today because they ran a bunch of tests and sonograms and they informed me that I have a cyst on my ovary.  No wonder I have been feeling bloated, gained weight, experiencing discomfort, etc.  Has anyone else had this?  I freaked out a little bit because they said that there isn't much they can do since they are supposed to go away on their own but could get worse and could possibly require surgery.  Hubby and I want to start trying to have kids in about 6 months or so and it was discouraging to hear that I could possibly have endometriosis when I was told numerous times that I didn't have it.

    I hope this isn't tmi.....sorry.

Not TMI at all--I'm sorry. That really sucks. I have heard of people being able to do things "naturally" to help, but I've never personally experienced this, so I don't know what these "things" are.

I know there are one or two girls on the Catholic board who have experienced something similar and were able to do somehting about it. One of the is MaskedRose--you might try "paging" them.

Cysts on the ovaries is very common. I've had them rupture twice and had one removed once. Are you on any form of birth control? I was put on BC to keep from the cysts growing/expanding. They're just build up from your menstrual cycle and the BC helps in maintaining a common cycle.

I know they're uncomfortable, but be grateful you haven't experienced the pain of a ruptured cyst...the pain is often compared to labor.

Anyway, you should let it worry you, especially if you're TTC.

email me if you have any questions... emily.kaz319@gmail.com

Unfortunately I'm familiar with cysts too.  The last one I had was actually when I was on birth control, so my doctor was a little worried about it.  She found it during my annual exam but by the time I came back for the sonogram, it had already ruptured.  But I didn't need the sonogram to tell me that because I pretty much figured it out on my own when I had horrible, stabbing pains.

Thanks Marissa, I will have to check that out.

Emi, what you have said is exactly what the doc told me.  Maybe you should be my doc, lol.
As for BC, the doc told me the same thing about it helping the cysts but she had me get off it back in December because it was really messing up my body so it seems to have the opposite affect on me since I have been experiencing this discomfort for quite a while.  Besides the one that you had removed, did they just go away on their own?

I probably should have emailed you.  I will if I have more questions....thank you!

  • edited December 2011
Ok, I mean to say what you have should NOT worry you.

I have had two rupture and if I had any others I didn't know about them, so I assume they went away on their own.

Vacations are a double edged sword...they are nice when you are there but when you get back to work...not much fun, if you ask me.  I've been snipped at all day by my boss and received emails about things that I did but couldn't complete while I was here because other people were out.  I also caught something while in NYC and this is the first day that I have been able to breath out my nose in a week but now both H and I have some stomach crap going around.

I'm so tired of hearing about that kid and the hair.  It was the first news story on one channel and I just thought that was ridiculous.

Sorry for the delay but congrats Emi!!  And I think it is cool that you aren't finding out the gender.  I'd like to do that for one birth at least...that's what I'm saying now, though!

I hope your tests worked out Stephie from last week.

I have a bunch of small cysts and a large something that starts with an "F" on the outside.  I had a decent sized polyp on the inside of my ovary but that was taken out.  Thankfully I've never had to deal with one rupturing like the other ladies.
