  • Sorry Nebb, I got distracted and didn't see your request for no pics till after I clicked Submit.

    I'm down for whatever, though.

My current annoyance is that a couple of my CWs insist on playing music loudly on their phone's speakers, so it sounds annoyingly tinny. Dude, buy a fucking iHome.

Plus, they're conflicting genres (one plays stuff like Sublime and Black Sabbath, and the other plays R&B and Reggaeton) so it's even worse. I'd say something, but they already think I'm a bitch, so why make matters worse?

  • Crazy stuff about SS#-

All Universities are required to file form 1098-T to the IRS to report amounts billed to students for tuition and certify that the student was full time or not. This report sucks in itself because the number on the report is not the one students use on their taxes but they are up my butt starting Jan2 to get this form for their parents. ANYWAY, the form requires a SS#. We get fined for submitting a report without one. However, the Higher Ed Reauthorization Act prohibits us from requiring a student provide us with a SS#. IF they don't then they cant get a transcript because we can't verify their identity and they can't get a 1098-T for their taxes, but some of them don't care and refuse to give it because they think its the cool thing to do.

It just pisses me off that the government is this backwards. We aren't allowed to require they provide us their universally accepted unique identifier, but we get fined if we don't have it in order to report to the IRS.

I end up having to send certified letters requesting they give us the number and keeping all this documentation on their refusal and then presenting it to the IRS when they try to fine us. Add to that students who don't realize we had the WRONG SS# in the system for the 4 years they were here until 2 years later when they get audited and then I have to go back and type... on a friggin typewriter... correction forms to send in for them. I hate the friggin IRS. And the Dept of Ed. They suck.

I need a rec for good lipstick. My lips dry out really fast and most lipsticks get too dry for me. I need something creamy and long-wearing.

  • I received my Arcona order yesterday afternoon, and I got abnormally giddy about it. I got a 2-for-1 deal on their Triad Pads (they smell like raspberry, H says he wants to eat my face whenever I use them), which is an awesome price. I love their stuff. I hope they never ever go out of business.

I love it! I knew I remembered someone on here talking about it, I just couldn't remember who it was. I debated trying it out for about 2 months before I finally decided to get, and now I wish I would have had it sooner. It's good stuff.

  • I have a vent. I generally like my MIL. We get along very well. SIL & BIL live near her, and they had a friend, M and her husband, visiting that SIL has been friends with for a long time. We were visting her over the holidays, and were going over to see SIL and her guests. MIL announces "Well, this visit should be interesting. H had a big crush on M back when SIL nad BIL got married". Seriously? Did I need to know that? It was like 12 years ago, and I am not worried about it, but I didn't need to know that I was going to be meeting someone that H used to have the hots for. There was just no need to tell me that.

  • Mara, Clinique's Chubby Sticks (no kidding) are pretty terrific.  They're not long wearing but they aren't sticky at all and are super moisturizing.

Omg it's the shiit.  I probably sound psycho saying this but I could stare at my face all day long.  I feel absolutely beautiful, lol.

It always comes before I run out of it, and I gave an extra tube of the eye cream to my MIL because I had more of it at home.  She's now obsessed and I'm pretty sure she'll be brainwashed to it like I am soon :) HA

  • Hey ladies.

My DD has kicked in for my job now but my first paycheck was actually physical and I still have yet to cash it.  My bank situation is kind of weird so its just more of a pain to get it deposited or cashed right now.  Plus I haven't had many days off when the bank was open.  Ugh.

I've actually never used primer either.  I'm intrigued by it because my skin is cranky.  AATB you're a lucky betch for having awesome skin.

  • I feel like I look goofy in lipgloss, like I'm trying too hard. I wear lipgloss (blistex lip condition) with maybe a lipstain underneath if I'm going out. I feel like I'm totally butch or something that I don't do these things (wear makeup regularly, etc).

This is me, too. I only ever really wear lipstick for pinup shoots, since lipstick always dries my lips out so bad.

I've fallen in love with Philosophy's Kiss Me Goodnight lip balm. It's so silky smooth. I swipe it on before I go to bed.

  • The only time I wear makeup is for interviews/promotions. Well, full-on makeup. I'll occasionally wear eye stuff if H and I go out so I at least look like I'm trying. For the most part my skin looks pretty decent, save for the shadows under my eyes.

This guy who used to work for H didn't have a bank account either. Or a phone. H made him get a phone because he could never get a hold of him, but he refused to get an answering machine so it was kind of pointless. He only got a bank account when he was forced to in order to collect welfare. But he had to ask H for help every time he wrote or deposited a check. The guy is a dumbass and a loser. Not for the bank or phone things though. He just is and I hope I never have to see him again.
  • The best lip balm I've ever used is Melaleuca chapstick.  It's waterproof with spf 15 and I'm telling you - when I put it on before bed, it's still on in the morning.  Go swimming in the lake or the ocean - it stays on.  And my lips feel so soft and amazing when I'm using it.  I feel like other stuff I've used like the Chapstick brand, Burt's Bees and others actually dry my lips out more.  I get high anxiety when my lips are dry.  I can't sleep without putting chapstick on.
    panther
  • I only wear chapstick on my lips. I use carmex. I did buy a lip gloss for my sister's wedding and I really liked it but I haven't used it much since them. I normally only use concealer and foundation.

I know some people don't care for Veronabrit's blog but I did get a concealer she raved about and I really do like it.

  • I feel like I need a face regimine (like the 3rd time I've said this) for like... Wrinkling. I don't really have any but I'm almost 30 so I feel like I should start. I always get overwhelmed when I go into the store so I never end up getting anything. Too many options.
  • I've been using the Tarte LipSurgence natural lip tint in moody and I really like. I got in it this set, which is pretty neat. FYI- The Kat Von D lipstick is terrible. TERRIBLE.
  • I've never heard of Melaleuca chapstick.  Where can you buy it?

  • I would love to not wear makeup.  But my face is going through a weird phaze, so that's not happening anytime soon.  I've been using MaryKay foundation for a few months; I liked it at first, but now I'm not so sure.  I think it makes my skin oily.

  • OH. And the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind is amazing. My eyes look so much brighter and I don't have lines or wrinkles under my eyes when I use it.
  • I use Aquaphor on my lips. My MUA for the wedding said that my lips were awesome because of it.

Regular skin care I can't be bothered with though. My skin is tons better now than it was before pregnancy, though.

It's one of those um... what do you call it?  Company things, my parents order it regularly.  They have stuff like laundry detergent, dish soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, just all these products.  I have no idea where my parents even heard of it.

I got like this when I went into Ulta. I have never been into one before and I know a lot of ladies on here shop there. They just had some much stuff. I wanted all kinds of things but I didn't want to spend so much on one trip. I think next time I will go in there for something specific and go from there.
