??TIPPING??

So I'm getting married at a place that includes caterer/dj/cake/pastor, etc.....  Are we still expected to tip? if so how much since the price the venue gave me isn't broken down between different items but rather just one big number....  Thanks for the advice!

  • Nebb, those exclamation points look ridiculous and out of place. :)

  • Also, ditto on asking the venue. Our wedding was at the same type of all-inclusive place, and I'm glad I asked otherwise I would have been out more money than necessary. Though I think it is perfectly acceptable to tip more if you think it's deserved.

  • That's quite the emotional toll for you to take on. You should sit down and get some rest.

This.  Our place asked for far less than I have seen on here.  I wasn't going to argue since they're the people that wrote it into the contract!

Bun in general, you can look on the internet and find the going rate for all of those services in your area and base a tip off that.

our venue was an all inclusive, with a 20% grat/service fee.  we thought that was the wait staff tip (we never asked).  We didn't tip on top of that to anyone else.  We only gave $100 tip to the DJ because he did a great job.  (He was also included in the price) The bartenders put out a tip jar, so no extra tippy for them...suckers!
