Evening?

Re: Evening?

• It's supposed to get down to 45 tonight. But Sunday, it was 96. Don't worry. I don't get it either.

• I don't trust people who don't love musicals.

If you don't belt out showtunes when you're alone in the car, we can't be friends.

• I like most all tunes and music formats except the really twangy (not sure that is a word) country stuff and the head banger songs where the singer is yelling.

I love to listen to NPR on the way home from work.

My goodness, my blueberry beer is very tasty tonight.

We had the same, ended about 30 minutes ago. The weather people were saying we were going to get a lot worse than we did. But I'd take a warning that ends up being nothing over no warning. It's been a year since the Springfield MA tornado that was crazy.

• Sounds like we would be good friends then J&K, how are you at belting out Girl Scout campfire songs?

Bay and I shouted along to Avenue Q on our way back from Boston GTG. I was really drunk, offered the idea and she said yes. It was awesome.

[QUOTE]I feel all out of place in this thread since country is like the one genre of music I can't stand well besides super old stuff like Johnny cash. Unfortunately I am moving to the part of the country where all radio stations are either country or rap with nothing in between. I'll take rap any day though.

• Ski, what blueberry beer are you drinking? I was a a. Girl Scout camp leader for about four years. Sometimes to motivate Elliot I threaten to sing him either camp songs or a one woman show of a musical.

• Yeah, I would usually listen to NPR than anything else too. My h hates it though. When we commuted together we were always fighting about the radio. He prefers sports radio, which I find mind numbing even though I like sports.

OOOOOHHHHHH I was born one night one morn' when the whistle went toot toot TOOT TOOT! You can buy an egg or fry a steak when the mudpies are in bloom! Does 6+6 make 9? Does ice grow on a vine? Is old man Joe an eskimo in the good old summer time?

A boy and a girl in a little canoe, with the moon shining all around. And as he paddled and paddled, you couldn't even hear a sound. So they talked and they talked til the moon grew dim, he said ya better kiss me or get out a swim! So whatcha gonna do in a little canoe with the moon shining all around?

Happiness runs in a circular motion, love is like a little boat upon the sea! Everybody is a part of everything anyway, you can be happy if you let yourself be!

Black socks they never get dirty the longer you wear them the blacker they get...

Wachusett Blueberry. One of my favorites.

I used to do the same thing with my kids. My daughter will sing right along with me but my boy will work to get us to stop with the singing.
• Yeah, I don't like country either. I don't like any of the radio stations around here though, I think the only thing I like is Tulsa's Gen X station, and it fuzzes out half an hour before you get to my city =(
• J&K you are the bomb!

I have never met anyone outside of my area that knows the nonsense song.

Second verse,

Oh loop d loop in the noodle soup, just to give my socks a shine, I am guilty judge, I ate the fudge, three cheers for old ang sine, I can not tell a lie, I hocked an apple pie, its in a tree, beneath the sea, above the bright blue sky

Do you remember Cowboy Joe, I have been trying to remember that one for several years and have never found anyone who remembers it.

• I was never a girl scout. I feel like I missed out.

• Oohhh Easter eggs don't wash their legs, their children will have ducks (quack quack!), I'd rather buy a lemon pie for 47 bucks!

I don't remember Cowboy Joe...hmmm...

• I was a girl scout but we never sang that song. We sang..

Calamine calamine calamine lotion. Calamine calamine calamine lotion.
Itchy itchy scratchy scratchy. Ooh I got one on my backy.

Anyone?
• Me too, Holly. FI is trying to fix a staple gun, for unknown reasons. It's not even his, it's his dad's, and he has no intention to use it.

• Oh man, I could sing old GS songs forever, but I need to sleep. Night, ladies!

• I was a Campfire girl never a girl scout.

I like some country but most of it is more pop than country.

I just got home from my day as an ambassador and it actually wasn't all that bad. I had a dream last night that I was going to have a panic attack calling the help desk but I only had to call them twice. I didn't have any issues.

• I had wanted to go further in Campfire but there weren't any local troops anymore after the one I was in fizzled out when people moved to different schools and towns.

• Well hello there Aleigh, you sig is beautiful. How was Jamacia?

And, I do not remember your calimine lotion song.

• C, what were you being an ambassador for?
• Maybe we were just weird haha

Jamaica was amazing! As soon as we got home H was looking at prices for next year haha
• I had to be a savings ambassador. Basically updating peoples club cards into the new program and calling the help desk if something was wrong.

• C, that sounds like a fun day. E is so freakin' cute.

Aleigh, glad you had a great time, I have never been. Are you off for the summer from school?
• I was dreading it but it went by much quicker than a day in the checkstand or self checkout.

Tomorrow morning we have E's 1 year checkup, he will be 13 months. He gets shots tomorrow. I have to be at work all afternoon after it so my poor H has to be home alone with a cranky baby. I'm kinda excited to hear how much he weighs and how tall he is though. He hasn't been weighed since 9 months.

• Hi! I had a kinda busy day. Work, a short walk with the dog, a longer walk on a treadmill after the dog pissed me off, talked to my dad, my mom, and H. Busy day.

I was a girl scout. We didn't sing either of thsoe songs that I remember, but I was only a girl scout until I was 9. Then we moved to Canada and they didn't have girl scouts and I never got back into it when we came back to the states.

I like all kinds of music except the screechy metal kinds with a few exceptions of even screechy metal songs that I like :). My iPod is like Holly's in it's ecclectic mix-ness.
• I went with my sister for my nephew's shots when he was three and he screamed so hard that I started to cry. It absolutely broke my heart to be in there with him because I know how bad it hurts.
