I think it's more likely they're sleeping in. hahaha
Well, it's quarter after 5 here folks! Get to talkin! It's raining heavily and kind of cold here today, so... just a lazy day for me. Wish I could find something other than Swedish shows on the TV right now.
i'm here... for a short while. Should be spending time with DH as it's our three year anniversary (not wedding). I also need to take a shower sometime in the near future. I have to work today at 3.

Hey yo! Just here trying to decide what to do about a washer and dryer. We're moving next Saturday and we're going to finally break down and buy one. But I think we're looking at a used set. Do we go with the $400 nice, newer set or ones for like $250 that will just 'do' for awhile? We only want/need these to last about 3 years because then we'll be looking to buy a new house and start having babies, so I want super capacity ones.

Have you searched Craigs for used washer/dryers? We got ours for $40 and while they aren't perfect, they were cheap. Otherwise I would say get new if they come with an warranties, free installation, stuff like that.
We don't really have any leads on the cheaper ones yet, but they're always coming available.

Oh! We have a sears outlet store. They have 'scratch and dent' washers and dryers for like 40% off. I think we'll go this route if we can find a good base model!

We had an amazing deal on a set and it fell through at the last minute becuase the guy couldn't get his new ones. That was a bummer.

What maeks them awesome? I know nothing about washers and dryers. Obvioulsy I used my parents and then the dorm and then the two apartments I had before H, had them already installed. Our new apartment does not .

I just got back from our monthly girls breakfast, now i'm being lazy. H is thinking he's going to lose his job this week, so that really sucks. That will really not be easy to handle financially if that happens. Scouring the internets for job leads for him. ick.
LVB, I think Sears is doing a 10% off all energy star appliances this weekend as well.
Oh wow, the Whirlpool duet washer AND dryer for $400? That would be hard to pass up...When we eventually get my dream washer/dryer they will either be the Duet combo or the Samsung front loader combo.
From what I've read front loaders are supposed to be very energy efficient (less cost to run) and water efficient as well. They are also supposed to be quieter and easier to get into. The only problem I've read about is that they can cause a moldy smell if you don't let the washer dry out before closing the door after running a wash cycle. I've also read the Duet/Samsung washers spin the clothes so well they can take only 10 minutes to dry.

The problem with buying those is the installation is tough.
