Hahahaa!!! Elle, we just aren't big cake people. We LIKE cake but not enough to spend a whole bunch on it. We're doing a dessert table that our caterer is gonna put together for us. He'll even customize what kind of desserts and then he'll make a special one for us to cut and fee each other.
I mean, I've actually been to a wedding with no cake. But there was no dancing either, and it was over by 9 so FI and I went to a club after. It was for a devoutly religious couple though, so it made sense (sort of).
And I like the topper, but it's super huge which makes it feel unbalanced to me.
Aud - I don't think so. The seller has a bunch of different ones those. They are all cute but that one just struck me. Maybe we can use it on another dessert?
Not even cupcakes? I don't want cake either, but cupcakes are a requirement at our wedding (with a top tier to cut). I get not wanting a cake cause half the time no one eats it, but people actually eat cupcakes. We're also having other dessert and fruit.
All kidding aside, I did love having all the dessert options at that cakeless, danceless wedding I was at. It was nice to choose, but as a cake lover, I was sad there wasn't any.

Oh Elle - don't be a crash-pooper! I can have him (the caterer) make cupcakes special for you and Beads!! He will totally do cupcakes - that's one of the dessert options.

Hahaha crash-pooper. That could mean something way different.
Ok, if you can get me a cupcake, I'll show. Or I'll just bring my own cake. I'll be that drunk girl dancing by herself with icing all over her face.

I know. But I just didn't know what else to call it. My brain is tired.
I'll get you your cupcakes AND I'll dance with you and the icing!!
I'd like to request chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing and lemon filling. Please and thanks. Maybe even a candle on top, just because I'm awesome. And you're awesome too.

FI doesn't really eat dessert, so I don't really buy it, but I seriously love it. Sometimes I'm tempted to buy a whole cake for myself, but I don't because if I did every time I think about it, I'd be like, 1000lbs. And that would be bad news.
Oh - I do LOVE red velvet with cream cheese icing. And carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Really, I think if I just put cream cheese icing on something, it'll be just right.

Ditto. I think it's the frosting I hate with regular cake.

I bet you could do several types of cupcakes. We went to a wedding last fall where they had 3 or 4 different types. They were FAB!!
Ya I'll have to see when the time comes to actually order them. I would like to have at least 2 different kinds, but we'll see what's available and the associated costs.
I wonder if there's a way you could still have the topper on the dessert table somehow. Maybe the little legs would snap off easily so it just sits there?

That might be possible. One of the desserts we can do is a caramel chocolate tartlet thingy; maybe he could do it in a big enough size to accomated the topper? Or a pie!! We could have him do some sort of pie! He's pretty flexible and will do almost anything we want. Oh - or cheesecake!! I LOVE cheesecake!!
Sorry . . . I just got overwhelmed by thoughts of sugary goodness!

This.
Can you make it say whatever you want? It's so cute!
