we've decided to go to new orleans for our honeymoon which will be the first week of september. please let me know if you have any tips?!

    I love New Orleans! It is such an amazing city. There is so much to do! When we went there we stayed right on St. Charles Avenue in the Garden District. It is more calm and pretty and more of a honeymoon section. The nice thing about St. Charles Avenue is that there is the streetcars that you can ride pretty much anywhere in New Orleans. It takes you right down to Bourbon Street and it runs almost all day and night. Our hotel sold us a 5 day streetcar pass that was a really good deal considering we rode it at least 4 times a day. A couple nights we went out we rode the streetcar back to our hotel at like 2am. It takes a little bit longer overnight but it was still fun.

    There is also a ton of things to do. We took several tours and just explored and shopped. We also went to the zoo and that was fun. And the food is sooo delicioius! New Orleans just has so much history and so many neat things about it. Every part of the city is different and you learn so much when you go there and it is so different then any other city in the United States.

    Vegasgroom is the moderator on the Las Vegas board and he just spent a few days in New Orleans - he had some great detailed reviews about different places he went, you could try paging him on there?

    I LOVE MSY!!  We almost did a cruise out of MSY, the city is so vibrant and there is so much to do!

    I am from the area, but live in Jackson, Mississippi now. I LOVE New Orleans. You must, must eat at Mother's (a classic in the city) one day for lunch. Definitely get a streetcar pass deal. It will save you time and money and trust me, you do not want to get a cab in New Orleans. Crazy drivers! Haha. Do you have any questions in particular? I'd be happy to answer!
