Wedding Woes

anyone else about to lose their mind?

I'm 52 days out and I am about to come apart.  Still tying up loose ends and still trying to live life.  Fought with my girlfriend of ten years and she backed out of the wedding parties and my upcoming 30th bday.  I needed to find a new job months ago and the strain of it on top of everything else is getting unbearable.  I am having nightmares everynight about wedding day disaster.  Anyone else going through this? Anyone have advice on how to wade out the next 7 weeks without exploding?

Y-E-S... I am at one month and 22 days... so I am close to you.. my day is Oct 16th. Yes Yes Yes, I am so high strung I wonder how I am going to be next month!!

Jobs, Money, I am a mom already so the kids are stressful.... I am right on the same boat with you.. the sleep disturbances are starting to get to me. The woman who was scheduled to do the trial for our make up (myself, my mother, and birdal party of 4 girls) made our appointment for Friday. She cancelled last night. I am so upset now and find her undependable. I am so stressed out. And scared I will have an anxiety attack at the altar... I hope someone gets on this thread and tells us we will calm down and be ok..

Ditto, I am at 24 days and I can't wait until I can get my life back!!!!!  So many little details to worry about.  My hair dresser is flaky too, so I am not sure I can count on her to be there on time.  I am sure it will be fun, but right about now, I am wishing I had eloped.

I had been really stressed for a couple of days around 37 days out (I'm now at day 31 ^_^)  As it was, I escaped for a little bit.  I went out of town to attend a friends b-day party, then went and helped FIL's with some work at their house.  It was really good to get away from all the wedding stuff and just have some fun.  The house work involved a lot of physical labor and it felt so good to just work out all that pent up energy!  I also avoided talking about the wedding for the 3 days i was gone. It helped A LOT!!

Thus I recommend this: Take a Break!!!  Go get a massage, get your nails done just to have your nails done! Get together with friends and go out for a night on the town! Avoid all talk about the wedding (or as much as possible) for even just one night!  Go workout at the gym. Not just a regular workout but "worked to the bone!!" kind of work out.  Just do something to relieve that pent up energy and stress. ^_^

I hope it gets better! Remember, all you really truley need to be married is Bride, Groom, Officiant, and 2 witnesses.  Everything else is just icing on the cake.
