It really was unprofessional, in my opinion, but the last thing I wanted her to do was pull her services so close to the wedding. (The services turned out GREAT, so everything worked out.)

We are using a local company and the windows are made just outside of our town. This story is kind of stupid--the previous owners put new windows in the downstairs but not the upstairs (??) even those the windows are old and shitty. So we are using the same company and same type of windows so everything will match.

Of course the previous owners weren't of the brilliant sort. I love Pella windows. We reno our living room and got our front room windows from Pella. It wasn't so bad because we only had the one room. After the hail storm in May we had to replace a few windows and decided to go ahead and do the rest of the house. The quotes from Pella and from Anderson were almost as much as our damn house (ok that's a little dramatic, but still). We talked with a couple of general contractors and they both recommended Miller Windows, and I love them. They look really nice, and the price was so much better. We replaced our roof, the roof on our shed/building, replaced the siding around the top of our house (our house is brick so we don't have much siding) replaced the gutters and all of the windows for less than 1/2 of the cost of what Pella windows would have cost.
