Happy Friday to all. Exciting weekend plans anyone?
We are planning on hanging out. Brunch Saturday, a little shopping, heading to the dog groomers. Nothing hectic. It is going to be in the 90's here again this weekend. Can I get some fall, please?
We are going on a family shopping trip tonight. We are out of everything and we still have a few school supplies to get for Ben. We have a wedding to go to on Saturday. Fun times.
Morning! I've promised myself that I'll have my invitations ready to mail this weekend, so here's hoping on that one. But other than that, no big plans. Hope everyone has a great Friday!
My dad (and his wife) are coming to Ontario tonight (from Quebec) to meet my FI's family for the first time and to go to my bridal shower on Sunday! It is also the first time my father will see where I live since I moved into this condo in 2005 (but technically he hasn't actually visited me since 2000 when I graduated from my first degree!)...so I am excited to show him around town a little. He is only in town for two days but it will still be nice, we are going to brunch and going to see FI play rugby on Saturday afternoon too!
Oh, and there is my shower too, which will be fun I am sure...but I am more excited about my dad coming!
I am hoping *fingers crossed* that today is a cake walk. My boss is out of the office, I dont have a lot of huge pressing tasks to do, and its Friday so the production ladies leave at 2 so im on my own. Tonight I will be listening to the radio (that sounds weird, but its a long story) and tomorrow my dad/brothers are coming to visit. I havnt seen my one brother since my wedding so it should be fun. Then, im hoping its nice enough on Sunday that I can tan a bit. I can tell the summer is winding down because tanning is not having any effect on me. I laid out for 3 hours last saturday and didnt look any different than I did starting out.
I remember my brother telling me about the cast a few months ago and I thought he was joking. I can't believe the Governator is in it. I thought he would have better things to do, like repairing California's economy. Maybe that IS what he's doing...
Too bad Steven Segal and Van Damme wouldn't be in it. I have a thing for the He Man movie from the 80s with Dolph in it. That is where my love began to bloom.
I love real-person (not critics) movie reviews so do tell us what you think NT.
Sounds like people have some good stuff planned. I love going to other people's weddings. I am so grateful they did the work, have the weird stress of the big day and not me! Don't get me wrong, our wedding was great but I was a basket case for a lot of the day before the ceramony. I had been so calm up until about 24 hours before.
What is up with this heat, heat, and more heat in the Midwest? I use to live in Chicago. 91 degrees feels horrid there, worse even then in MSP because it is bigger and busy and has much public transit full of sweaty bodies.

We were painting the basement when we moved in 2 years ago and heard adrian for the first time and it was too funny.

He can be a bit obnoxious but hes so awkward and weird that its worth it. They took an adrian break a while back when he got really annoying (he kept yelling at todd and hanging up), but now hes back. I like the roll play things they make him do.
We were going to see Expendables last weekend but ended up not going, so tell me what you think.
We have a landscaper coming tomorrow morning, and mulch will be delivered early. The landscape has just got out of control, so we hired muscle. And we have to start packing up the office/living room before the decorator finishes the design.
That room is PITA so we had to bring in the experts. And god finally get rid of the blue floral wallpaper. We cant seem to move on with any other rooms in the house till that one gets done.
Raynes: They are only here for two days and in those two days we are doing the following: showing them our condo, going to Stoney's (best food ever) for brunch, going to FI's rugby game, going to FI's parents house for a BBQ, visiting our wedding venue and going to my MOH's parent's house for my bridal shower...that's about it...not bad for a Saturday and Sunday (they get in late tonight and leave on Sunday afternoon...in addition to being a doctor my dad trades stocks online so he has to be home when the market is open...)
St. Jacobs was really nice...lots of stuff I could have bought but since I am a) trying to watch what I eat and b) trying to watch what we spend, I limited myself fairly well...I had enough samples of maple butter and pepperettes to ruin my diet though!

Yeah that's why we hired pros because I refuse to touch the wallpaper. I'll paint all day long, and we have projects in the house we will do on our own, but this room is a mess.
It's what would be the formal LR, but it's my DH's office (he works from home a lot). And we want one wall to be built in bookshelves, floor to ceiling. And sort of his man cave. But at the same time be able to turn it back if we ever sold the house.
ETA: I talked to him last night about a March Chicago trip last night. We are going to try and do long weekend vacations next year. So that would be one.
Good morning, Ladies. We find out today if the car is totalled or not. Tomorrow is shopping for college textbooks for my daughter - boo. Last semester was $550. DH is away on a guy's weekend, so a moviefest may be in order tonight.

Can't wait to hear your review, NS. I heard Eat, Pray, Love kinda sucked.
Oh, and my bachelorette party is tomorrow night. Dinner's at 7. I expect to see everyone there, right?
