[QUOTE]East, you just made me CQTM for realz. I think it's funny that I thought last week's FFF post was good, a few of us all got into with each other, I got all hot and bothered by it and ja.wright has insisted twice now that it was lame.

Yeah, I did not think FFF was lame last week. More like kind of weird, but somewhat interesting anyway. This week on the other hand...

I don't know who was flamed for saying lame. but I remember a couple years ago, being flamed myself for saying "retarded." my response was "well, technically, lame means someone who can't walk, so..."

basically my defense was it's either all ok, or none of it is. for me, it's okay to say whatever inappropriate thing you want to, be it "retarded" "gay" or "lame."

  • People always get so concerned about things like that.

People say the word idiot all the time, but it originally was a word to describe a person with extreme mental retardation.

Yet nobody now gets upset when that word gets used.

For this reason, I wish people would lighten up.

Yeah, I don't think lame has been used to describe someone who can't walk since about 1885. I believe the term is usually paraplegic.
