I posted of course when we got engaged and then once again in August when we set a date. Then I lurked on TK and learned to not post anything else.

Work's....well....it's taking getting used to.

I hate the hours. I feel like I never have time to myself anymore. And the scary part is my caseload is only 13 now. And we're supposed to get up to 110 before they stop giving you new cases.

I don't know how you lawyers deal with court. I've had to go in 3 days and it sucks. I still have at least 2 more. Hopefully we don't come out with a hung jury and can all agree on something fast.

Edit: Not sure why this is the thing I really want to know about jury duty.

They only provide us lunch if we are deliberating as we aren't allowed to leave the jury room. Our cell phones and reading material will all be locked up at that time as well.

I have a dog, but no information about dog pink eye. Taking him to the vet on Monday is probably a good idea if it doesn't clear up on its own before then.

At least in some states you get paid and in some counties there are "1 day/1 trial policies"

In NOLA you're stuck going EVERY Tues/Thurs or Mon/Weds for four weeks. You get paid 10 bucks ONLY IF you are selected for a trial. So theoretically you can spend all day for 8 days and get NOTHING.

Apparently they do bring in lunch though.

Sorry about your pup Bree. I've never heard of any dogs I know having pink eye. Hope it gets better soon.
