If it's in the contract she shouldn't be able to change it or charge more. Does she know your on the Knot and can very easily let a lot of people know how deceptive she is?

I wouldn't threaten her before your wedding. Just wouldn't take that risk.
Why do you expect me to buy $34 bottles of liquor and then you just hide it under the table and take it home and then when I visit you I see like 30 bottles of unopened liquor in your china cabinet? Seriously!?? Who started that whole stupid tradition anyway...
And why does having just an "open bar" without this crazy expensive liquor make me cheap? Ugh... you guys drive me nuts!

I doubt the contract specifially says that she can do it in an hour, though. Mine didn't say anything about how long it would take her. It just said start time, the cost, and what she was doing.

And you absolutely need to point that out... that is COMPLETELY unfair and show poor business sense on her part. If anything, this will be a lesson to other knotties about her.
Call her back and go over everything that she's charging you right now and what you're getting. It sounds like you're paying for WAY more than you should be... even without that extra little fee that she's throwing on.
i just called her - no answer.. but i got a text back saying sue (the mother/schedule lady) will call me.... NO - i can't deal with that lady
the contract says the total time... which you can figure out that only is 30 mins per service. i'm sure she'll say i was aware of that... since she already called me a liar once today!
and yes, natalie, i will be nice and not threaten, because a. i'm way too nice a person and push over b. i don't want her to pull out 4 days before the wedding.
i don't think vendor that are full of themselves care about the knot. all i have heard from her and her mom is her LONG list of accomplishments, clients and so forth.

Whatever you do, don't pay her another dime. If nothing else.. have her do your airbrush/hair next to last so you will have time to put your makeup on and take your pictures while one of the girls is being finished. Let them run late, NOT YOU. Just breathe.
Dear Friends, Thank you for the beautiful yellow roses (like on my mom's coffin) and the gift card to La Madelines. I really appreciate it!
Dear Bill, I'm so excited that we're going to San Antonio in a couple of weeks to see "Jersey Boys" and that we got awesome tickets to see Franki Valli and the Four Seasons at the Majestic three weeks later.
ok, it is resolved. she is going to bring another girl at no extra charge. well, at least that is what we just discussed... hopefully it won't change AGAIN! they are sending me an EMAIL to confirm this.
i really can't believe that THIS has been my wedding stress - i need a drink!
I'm sorry but I wouldn't have stayed with her if she wanted to charge me $35 just to do a trial eye, on top of all of the other fees she's charging you. She seems likes a huge hassle. But like you said, lesson learned.
Dear Bridget, I'm sorry this is sucking for you. I really do hope everything works out for you. Concerned Knottie Angie
Dear FMIL's adorable dog, Tricksy, If you continue to poop in our house, you will be on your way home to FMIL this weekend, instead of in a month like the original plan, regardless of whether that means she has to find a new home for you. "Doing really good at potty training" my foot. I take pride in my home, and I will not be forced into letting you ruin it, regardless of whether this situation damages my relationship with FMIL. I'm sorry about the craziness of the lady doing your hair and airbrushing. Please share who this person is... I didn't see it anywhere and want to be aware. I'm sure your wedding day will be fantastic! Try not to stress too much... you're marrying your fiance and that's what is really important.
I was just thinking about how trivial and petty our problems seem compared to what you've been going through. I hope you're doing ok! Let us know if you need anything.

Dear Knotties - Thanks for the thoughts on melatonin. I was hoping to try it this week since I have to get up at 4 for my interview on Thursday, but I think I'll wait until another time to try it.
Dear Baseball Fans - FSIL just told me that she will only be able to come to part of my bachelorette party on October 9 because they have tickets to the Rangers playoff game that day. When will we know if they're still going to be in the playoffs at that point? If they're out, she'll come to more. And I don't understand baseball at all, so I was hoping one of y'all could help me!
Dear Period, Thanks for FINALLY showing up so that I don't have to panic about you hanging around for the actual wedding, but why must you come with the horrid cramps and other "down there" issues?
Dear Work, Why am I here? You know I'm not really here, and yet you insist on making me show up and fill a desk. That's just dumb and you know it.
Dear Fiancee, Thank you for being wonderful and supportive. I'm so excited to be marrying you in a little over a week! I'm so happy that I've found someone who can handle my moods and all the bad things and still come out loving me.
Dear Banana, The Rangers have a magic number. A combination of Rangers' wins or Athletics' losses must reach 12. It's not an exact thing because it can be drug out until the last possible moment but I would say within the next two weeks. PLUS, it depends on if the Rangers will be playing a home game or an away game that day.
