Re: Unpopular Opinions.

  • I love the new Kotex commercials.

I love the girl who says "You should relate to me, because I'm racially ambiguous."

[QUOTE]I hate all tampon/pad/feminine product commercials, advertisements, etc.  They're everywhere and I don't think you need to advertise that shiit because people are going to need them regardless.  It's not like it's a novel, new product that you're not sure if you're going to use or not.

It's not about the product, it's about brand recognition.

  • I don't like any of you because you just feed off of each others negative energy like a bunch of little girls.  Seriously, think for yourself.

  • Now I'm all sorts of confused (guess tha tmeans I'm fat AND ugly).  If you don't like anyone here, why do you stay and play?

[QUOTE]I am saying that if you are actively trying to make abortion illegal, then you should be willing to support the resulting children. Obviously, a woman who wants an abortion   does not want the child. Thus, the child will end up in the foster care system, or will need adoptive parents. If you are taking away a woman's right to choose not to have a child, then you can not expect that woman to keep and raise the child she did not want. If you want abortion to be illegal, then you should be willing to pay the increase in taxes needed to support the children.

I still don't get from this whether you think pro life believers are allowed to have their own children or not.
  • Sure. Have as many children as you please. I just don't think you can both want abortion illegal, and not want to pay or support the resulting children.

  • I leave to be productive and look what I miss...

One of my favorite Sci fi writers (Piers Anthony) did a 4 book series on human evolution. The final chapter in one of the books was a future society in Australia. Birth control was pumped through the air and two people had to apply for the antidote if they wanted to have children. Of course everything was 100% safe because it was in a book, but it did make me wonder how that would work.

I attended both private and public schools. After attending the private I will never send a child there. The grades were based on how much your parents donated to the school and it took me 4 years of high school and the first year of college to learn how function in basic society.

The high school I work with is losing funding this year, resulting in massive layoffs. They are also talking about getting rid of all freshman and jv sports, after school fine arts programs, and reducing the foreign language department to only contain spanish, french and latin. The community was told this would happen at the beginning of the school year last year. They are complaining because the price of parking has gone up for students. They are complaining that freshman sports are going away. They want the school to cut out more jobs (including getting rid of the special ed dept) if it means they won't have to pay parking fees/sports fees/$1 more for lunch.

My unpopular opinion is that these Unpopular Opinion threads are so constantly filled with ignorant and half-thought out statements, frequently from those who hold extremist political views, that they make me want to distance myself from the land of E.

The intelligent, reasoned conversation that some engage in following these statements never outweighs the ridiculous suggestions themselves, and I find myself cringing through each and every one of these threads.

OMG you stalker.  Except I'm not leggy, and I don't wear fishnets.  Also, I hate talking on the phone.  And you have to travel a mile to the west to be "where it's at."

Actually, you're kind of a crappy stalker.

My unpopular opinion is that Mill and University is really where it's at.
