He has. Repeatedly, loudly and a great length. This is actually pretty mild compared to some of the stuff she's said to me. For instance, Chinese moms love their babies more than American moms, based on the fact that my mom drank coffee through all her pregnancies. When you tell her that what she has said is very hurtful, she just gives you a blank stare. As far as she's concerned, she's just telling you (what she thinks is) the truth, and you can't be hurt by that.

My family has known for a year that i'm getting married and the date (6/30/12). Just last night my mother told me she's not sure she can make it (she lives out of town) due to financial reasons. Slightly frustrating since I was buying her plane ticket. My brother and his daughters also might not come due to financial reasons too. I can't afford that many plane tickets but i offered to pay for gas and a rental car for him to drive here (he also lives out of town). Both would be staying with friends/family if they came, so hotel costs are not an issue. Really wish both of them would've told me this before i started planning this ridiculous wedding.....i would've eloped instead. I feel a little selfish getting so upset about it, but now i won't have any close family attending. My dad passed away years ago, same with all my grandparents. ....and now my mom and brother can't make it. Friends and distant relatives are coming, but the two most important family members will be missing. guess i'll be walking myself down the aisle? my side will look rather silly with an empty front row at the wedding. Amazing how family can hurt your feelings and make you feel guilty for being sad about it.

*hugs* I'm sorry they are putting you through that. If you pay for the rental car and they stay with relatives, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to afford it with 5 months still to go.

I'm sorry all of you have larger problems than me right now. I hope everything gets resolved soon.

My only complaint for the week is pretty minor in comparison. I died my hair 2 days ago. It was supposed to be a caramel brown but instead durned out more reddish. The box said it will bring out red hair and be more reddish than brown but I though I only had a few natural highlights of red and it was more caramelly.... wrong. Now I have a reddish-deep brown hair. I think it looks really good though once I got over the it's not what I wanted (I did this today).

I've been waiting for this day for awhile! FI and I hosted a New Years Eve party (at our recently purchased home) and I am so appalled at how people behaved! It started out with little things like drinks spilled and no one cleaned them up but escalated very quickly. One guy humiliated a lady (literally the nicest person at the party) almost to tears. I had to kick him out, he was so mean. Another threw up on our stairs which luckily is in the garage but he was practically sitting on the garbage it was so close. But no, had to get the stairs that have carpet. And we ended the night by laying in our bed that somebody PEED on! Really people? I opened my home to you and you thank me by being rude and inconsiderate. Who pees on someones bed?!? Needless to say I will not be having a party like that ever again...

I am glad your boss let you speak up about the problem. At my work so many things get overlooked by my boss it is not even funny, he either does not see it or does not care enough to do something about it. At times it seems like I am the only one here who works the entire 8 hours. Some just pretend to be working while the rest of us have to do our work plus theirs.
