[QUOTE]<strong>Kendall.... Sami was worried about you because as much as you annoy the crap out of all of us, you're a kid and still have a lot to learn, but you deserve to be happy and healthy.  So when you disappeared, she wanted to make sure you were alright.  Go sue her, right?</strong> And sure, it "wasn't effing planned" this time, but you were trying not three months ago.  So you were trying, didn't get pregnant, and started birth control again?  And then got pregnant?  None of us care whether you knew three days, a month, whatever.  You just have the most ridiculously dramatic situations, have the most ridiculously twisted and naive and immature view on things, and then tell us all "you don't know me!" which totally proves your point... not. I think we'd all be VERY happy to see you come back here in 5 years, still married, and with a happy and healthy and well-adjusted kid and with a comfortable life and ideally a career that you're happy with and successful.  But you have stacked the deck against yourself sooooo much that I'd say it's kind of a chance in hell that it will all work out for you, and that's sad.  So I just want to smack my forehead whenever you continue to dig your hole deeper.

So...you didn't get your period for at least 2 months, and it never occurred to you "hey, something isn't right. I should take a test" until AFTER the wedding? Listen, things happen. Sometimes people get pregnant before they mean to. We all know that. But you are only fooling yourself if you think anyone is going to believe you found out the day after your wedding. Grow up.

Well, I don't know why you were told that but women have been known to get pregnant with only missing it for an hour or two and without taking other precautions. My doctor advised me to take it before the 24 hours of the last time I took it, better early than late.

So... I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier. Someone correct me if I am wrong... but stress will not delay your period if you are on birth control. Stress can make it late if you aren't on HBC; naturally, your body is looking for the 'ideal' condition before ovulating. When you are stressed just before you ovulate that isn't an 'ideal' time so your body delays ovulating until your body prepared.

But, you were on (please stop now if you are still taking it)HBC, and you should know that you aren't actually ovulating AT ALL! The period is just for show, and I believe is is a chemical withdrawl bleed. In conclusion, stress really shouldn't cause you to be late.

Did you go to one of those high schools that didn't teach sex ed? ugh!

<div>You're right, but I wasn't even going to go there- way too complicated for OP IMHO. </div><div>
</div><div>BC pills main mechanism of action is by preventing your body from making the hormones associated with ovulation and menstruation, which is why often times it can take up to 6 weeks once you stop taking the pill to menstruate again (you don't ovulate until about 2 weeks after you stop taking the pill... IF you've been taking it correctly)...</div>

Holy cow, this board exploded today. I'm staying out of the drama and gonna mostly keep my opinion to myself, but I do have a couple of points I feel like I have to say...
    1)  I have a hard time believing that no one told you antibiotics could decrease the effectiveness of your BC; doctors, nurses, and pharmacists all know this and have a duty to explain it to you (at least docs and pharmacists do). But it happened, so congrats and good luck to you Kendall.

    2)  For everybody saying that she's wrong for being mad/upset when she found out she was preggo, I think you're in the wrong here. It's a major shock, and it takes an adjustment. One of my family members found out she was pregnant when her second child was only 6 months old. She cried for days, but once she got that out of her system she was a happy, well-adjusted expecting mother.  Now if she's 3-4 months pregnant and still pissed off about it, that's a different story.
