I'm going to watch the "Law and Order" marathon on TNT instead.

I hope you take before & after pictures (and post them here!) I had a yellow kitchen in our previous rental, and I hated it. Can't imagine it in a bedroom, yuck.

We actually toured a house that had been really well flipped (our buyer's agent had seen the same house many years before, and couldn't believe the difference). Every single detail was gorgeous (and apparently well done). But both bathrooms in that house were TINY. I couldn't get over that. I know we made the right choice, but it still makes me sad when I look at our crappy yellow laminate counter tops and remember the beautiful ones that house had ...

I think there are some GREAT flip companies out there, without a doubt. Some people really know how to do it right because, well, when you don't, you don't make a profit. I think a lot of individuals tried to break into this niche after losing jobs and with the housing market crashing. Many of them are finding out the hard way though that you have to do quality work to get the price you think you should get on the home after flipping.

We put an offer down on the house we like this morning. Now just wait until tomorrow... patience is not my virtue LOL.

[QUOTE]Congrats on closing Crash! I hope things get resolved. We are watching the Chelsea game this morning then organizing the house/painting our hideous yellow upstairs bedroom. I am so excited about not inducing vomit everytime I walk into the room. As unamerican as this is, I am not much of a SuperBowl watcher. FI will probably go watch it with some friends (or here) but can think of so many other things my four hours could be spent doing. Those cookies sound awesome CW. Everyone have a fun and safe SuperBowl watching!

I'm the same way. I used to try to at least watch the commercials, but now I couldn't care less. I can always pull them up on YouTube later if I get that curious about it. Neither FI or myself watch NFL. College football, on the other hand, is a completely different story.

I agree. The company we bought from really did do a good job. Do I think they were a little sloppy? Yes. But other than that the only thing that they have really been a hassle about it the oven (of all things).

  • Fimgers crossed for you, Amy!

We made it to Lumberton close to midnight last night and went immediately to H's aunt's house. It's been great to see all this family, and Aunt is doing well under the circumstances. We're going to get a nap and then probably go back over there to watch the game.

    Thanks, Amanda!

I'm glad his aunt is holding up okay considering what she is going through right now. I just can't imagine what its like to lose a child. :(
