Refurbished Barn Venues

After searching for two weeks online to no avail I thought I'd ask for some help. I really have my heart set on rustic themed barn wedding but I can't seem to find a suitable venue.

Does anyone know of any rustic refurbished barns near Columbus that allow alcohol?

Guests will primarily be coming from the Marysville/Kenton area (northwest of Columbus) so somewhere around there would work too.

Here are a list of barns I've found already that don't work for me but that will hopefully help someone else in their search. I ordered them by distance from Cbus:
Thanks!

Try Jorgensen Farms in Westerville -- you can see pictures on the Two Caterers website.  Also, I just found out about the Mary Orton lodge which looks really neat.  We started out wanting the rustic barn, but it was going to be too much -- on many you have to rent port-a-potties, have valet parking if it rains, rent a tent for the dinner, etc.  We compromised with the Amelita Mirola Barn and are very happy with our choice.  With the right decorations and lighting, you can give the ambiance you want to most venues.

<div>@tpeoples7 Thank you so much for your suggestion. I have heard of Jorgensen Farms in Westerville , but not Mary Orton Lodge. I just looked up the venue and it's gorgeous. I'm still searching for barns (probably in vain <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />) but Mary Orton Lodge is now on my short list! </div><div>

We were just invited to a wedding this summer at

Crago Farms in Marysville.  I haven't seen it yet, but the location (and allowing drinks) seems like a possibility for you.

<div>Thanks for the suggestion! I emailed Crago Farms, the venue looks great! Our ideal dates aren't available and they're a bit out of our budget  though so we're still searching for places.

The Mary Orton Lodge suggestion was great, we're visiting them soon. Does anyone know of any similar places around Cbus?</div>

I don't know if they allow alcohol, or even have receptions on site, but I have been to a wedding at the Liberty Pesbyterian Church in Delaware, I think it is waaay north off 315 or Olentagy, but don't quote me on that. At any rate, the building is a GORGEOUS barn church, the views inside are unreal.

I'm getting married at White Star this fall. Laura didn't respond to the email I sent through the website but when I emailed her directly she got right back to me. We have obviously been the venue and really like it, I'll give an update after our actual day though.

I am looking for the same thing but near the Johnstown ohio area. I have spent so much time just searching for a rustic barn in this area and have had no luck. Wedding planning has come to a halt because I am being stubborn. Any help would be amazing!! White star is beautiful if it is near you!!!

White Star seems perfect for us but I've tried calling, filling out the info form on the website, and I've emailed the info@whitestar email address. It's been over two weeks and I haven't heard a thing. I was ready to give up on them, but maybe I don't have the right contact info? Thanks!</div>

I recommend TheMohicanCabins.com. They are building a wedding facility that looks like a barn. It will seat 100-300 people or cozy up for 50. It is scheduled to open in March 2013. It is located on 75 acres with a 1/2 acre pond.

[QUOTE] I recently purchased a property for my wedding (9/29/12) for the sole reason of trying to find what you are after. I knew what I wanted and this fit the bill perfectly. The property is in Westerville, on 5 acres. It has a pond, beautiful old mature trees, and house and barns built in the 1870s/1880s. I intended to live in this house after my wedding, but due to the overwhelmingly positive response, we are interested in offering this house for weddings and events for others. I purchased my own tents so I have options for less than stellar outdoor weather. My wedding was about 160 people, so we do have the room to accomodate a lot of different sizes of weddings and groups. My photographer's pictures aren't ready yet, but I can share what I have from my guests so far, if you're interested. My husband and I do not live at the property but if you want to see it, we can set something up to meet you and show you around.  Of course we would allow alcohol.
