But now that he has met a few, he understands who I'm talking about. Like last night I was upset about KW, and he wondered what was wrong. And when I said KW, on SB, he didnt even ask anymore questions.

Plus he's a knottie by default on fb.

I've realized recently that you SB ladies have helped me grow a backbone. I had a long conversation with DH recently about owning my opinion, and it's ok if we disagree. He sometimes (unintentionally) makes me feel like I'm simply wrong if I don't agree with him, when it's (slmost always) an issue where we can agree to disagree and be fine. I used to be very wishy-washy and backpedal every time, or drop the subject ntirely and then stew about it for days because I didn't express myself well and explain my (completely valid) opinion. I'm more willing to defend myself after seeing all of you do it so well.

So - thank you for that.

I have realized:

I am going to be a horrible housewife.

I'm grateful for the things I have, AND the things I don't.

I'm never going to like my family. Or have an actual relationship with my other. And as hard as the last one is, I just can't have that crap in my home.

ETA: Also, that I am allowed to have an opinion. Sometimes, it's just not the time to vocalize it. I think I definitely learned that here.

Lol. I'm a slob. Aaron works really late nights, so I've been TRYING to pick up the slack since I only work PT. But I'm really really bad at it. And I don't like that I'm bad at it. He doesn't really care as long as the apartment isn't disgusting. But I care.

So, long story short, I'm taking prenatal vitamins because they make your hair grow faster and look all shiny and great. I'm NOT trying to get pregnant, nor do we want kids (yet). H saw the vitamins in the cabinet and nearly had a heart attack... one of the funniest moments of my week.

Ive realized that as much as I want a kid at some point, I dont want to become obsessed with it. I want it but it isnt everything to me. Id rather start avoiding pregnancy, than start trying to get pregnant, for my own sanity.

That totally makes sense. I want babies, like, NOW. But it wouldn't be smart for me to get pregnant. So, I'm going to focus on Aaron and I for now, and get where we want to be before we start trying.

I feel the same way. Things have been SO good with Adam and I that I selfishly am not ready to give that up - I want him all to myself. I know it woudl change with a baby and I dont know if Im ready to move to that next phase yet.

I don't think being a good housekeeper is what makes a good housewife.

And you are not a housewife, you are a wife. You are not married to your house. You work, don't kick yourself too hard. Just do what you can, and if it bothers you that much just make a deal with yourself to do one more thing every day.

Myself, I work full time, but DH works more then full time. So I clean the house. I find its easier for me to do a deep clean once a month or so, and then just keep up a little each week. It makes it easier to clean the next time.

I used to be anal about my house, and that's no way to go either.So just find your happy medium.

I've come to realize that even though I don't want kids of my own, and I thought I hated kids in all forms, I really love working with them (even the ones that try to kill me...no, ESPECIALLY the ones that try to kill me), and I may very well want to do that for the rest of my life. I feel like I make more of a difference with kids than I ever could with adults.
