<div>Is his cousin Christian?? Or a friend from brefore your H gave his life to Christ? (I have those friends. Such a challenge sometimes). Cuz I was gonna say, I was (and am) soooo grateful to be marrying a man of God, where I didn't have  to worry about that sort of thing happening at the b-party!! And especially for the rest of our life. It's so assuring to know that divorrce is NOT an option for either of us! I don't know how anyone could live thru their marriage with that fear.</div>

<div>No, his cousin is not a Christian, but he's his <em>cousin</em>, you know?  It's not like he could just stop being friends with him!  H grew up in a Christian household, his cousin did not, but they were together all the time when they were little so they literally grew up together.</div><div>
</div><div>As far as the rest, it is reassuring to know you're spending your life with someone whose values are the same as yours, but remember that people change, and divorce does happen even within marriages where both people said divorce is not an option.</div>

My FI plans to go golfing with his buddies and have dinner and a few drinks at the country club afterwards, which I am fine with.

I plan to go to a spa with my girls and get mani/pedis and facials, etc. and then have a ladie's luncheon.

I had my bridal shower about 5 weeks before the wedding, and then 3 weeks before the wedding my MOH and DH's best man rented a party bus that brought us up to Mohegan Sun. The bus was co-ed, but when we got to Mohegan, we split up and I went off with my girls and DH went off with his guys. It was a great time and I knew I'd never have to worry about him. I married him for a reason!

Monica.. I'll be praying for peace of mind for you and don't for one second worry about strippers. From what you've told us, your FI seems like an honorable enough man to walk away from a situation like that. Some of DH's friends went to strip clubs for part of their bach parties, but DH made it clear he didn't want that for his. I just don't understand why it became a tradition to have a naked girl dance and grind on you because you're getting married. It's such an oxy moron to me. How is that celebrating the upcoming marriage? In my opinion, it's disrespecting it.

I feel weird having a party without FI. He's my best friend and I want him there with me!! He feels the same. I don't think either one of us are going to have a bachelor/bachelorette party.

He wanted to come the the shower with me - and since they were gifts for him too, I'm letting him come.

So, this is my first time posting on this, and any other board on TK. But I have been a consistent board stalker :)
My FI just had his bachelor party this weekend. It was actually really great. As FI does not have the room in his apartment and most of his GMs and close friends were coming from out of town, they all came up and stayed at my parent's house on Friday night. They got here late, I was already in bed because I had to work in the morning. The next day I found out they had lit a fire (we have a fire pit in the back yard), had some drinks, and were up until 3:00am out by the fire with my mom! haha
The next morning, once they finally woke up, they went to hike this beautiful mountain about an hour and a half from my house. They were going to campout there, but it didn't work out. So they went out for pizzas and came back to my house to have some drinks, light the fire again, and hang out.
Finally, on Sunday, my dad made them a big breakfast and they went to this place called Hilltop Fun Center where there is mini-golf, arcade games, go-carts, and laser tag. They had a full and awesome weekend!
When they were at my house, I tried to stay out of their way cause it was their man time... but FI snuck up to see me a few times just to say hi and hug a little :)
Sorry that is so long, but I just think they enjoyed a great weekend where they were active, and had a safe environment to have some drinks with friends.

We did a combo bachelor/bachelorette party where the wedding party went to a Cardinals game and we got all-inclusive seats and then we went out on the town that night after the game (we found a cool bowling alley/martini bar while we were walking around). It ended up being a really fun weekend, definitely more geared toward my husband and my personalities.

The night before the wedding my hubby went to see The Green Lantern with his groomsmen, and me and my bridesmaids were going to watch old movies (Breakfast at Tiffany's, etc) but we were too tired.

FI is planning on having all his groomsmen over to play videogames and eat pizza. :)
