Why does my avatar image randomly change? Also, can I get rid of "knot tv"?

I was a member here on the knot about 10 years ago.  (Long story...)

Anyway, it looks like a lot has changed around here.  I don't like most of the changes, but maybe I'm just being a fuddy-duddy...

I have noticed that my avatar image keeps randomly changing, even after I try to choose one.  Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, is there a way I can get of this annoying knot tv banner on top?  They had knot tv before, but it was optional to watch it or not...

    You can get rid of Knot TV by right clicking on the Not Engaged Yet title and opening it in a new tab.

    Your avatar will change til you set it to something

    THANK YOU!  The Collapse option doesn't work for me, and KnotTV is really annoying!
