Mine is long, prepare yourself.
I am also having BM drama. My 'best friend' who lives in Kansas (where I lived for 8 years before moving to DFW 3 yrs ago) had to make an 'emergency' trip to San Antonio last night to pick up her boyfriend. I don't know what the emergency is, other than that he is in the Army and 'something happened.' SO she was going to stop in Dallas last night to hang out for a little bit on her way. I was psyched, because I haven't seen her since her wedding (last year; a marriage which has since been annulled) and she had to miss our E-party due to strep throat.

I received NO CALL for directions around the time that she would be passing through. I call=no answer. I call again, she answers and said that she lost reception around Lewisville, and just got service back--she blamed Sprint, which happens to be the same provider as FI and I. we never lose service in the Metroplex. I hear that we have lots-o-towers to prevent from that kind of thing from happening. I asked where she was, and she said 'an hour from WACO.' Really? You just kept on truckin with no call when your service DID come back on? I am so frustrated with her--I'm not stupid, why would you lie about something like that. If you weren't going to stop--tell me. But today I am supposed to keep my phone handy so that she can get directions to my work so she can come say hi.

I just might be in a meeting.

I have several:

1. I sell DVDs for a living, and a certain warehouse electronics store sent me OVER 1,000 emails Friday night. And I have to check EVERY SINGLE ONE. I am not a happy employee this morning.

2. FI found out his dad been cheating on his mom for 2 years now... and that he also cheated on her after their 3rd kid was born. And probably the entire time in between, but he didn't admit to that... Needless to say, FI is PISSED. Also sucky (though less important) is now we'll have to rethink our holiday plans and certain wedding plans.

3. My BM just told me she still hasn't found someone to cover her shifts this weekend while my other BM and I are in DC to visit her... It's OK, we'll still get to see her a lot, but it's lame.

This weekend was a bummer.

My father decided to quit his job! After a good weekend of marriage prep stuff and finally finding my passport; he decides to tell us. There was no reason for the quiting other then he got tired of going to work. Now we have to sit down with them and figure out all their finances. I may have to cut our budget more if I have to help them more with household expenses.

I have a large project due on Wednesday that I have known about all semester and decided to start today. Go Me!

I mailed my secret knottie ornaments today and I'm seriously holding my breath that the breakable one doesn't break. I didn't have the ideal box for them and the USPS sucks.

I hate Mondays. Usually I love the Fall time change, but it still seemed to mess me up a little. Ugh. We are also moving in a couple of weeks and I hate moving... and I really hate packing. *sigh*

I spent about $1400 in car repairs this weekend.

Regular Service B = $500
New Rear Brakes = $250
New Bushing / Alignment / Other crap = $650

And I am not done yet.. I still need all new tires.. which for my car will set me back another $1000...

ETA: I feel like we are getting overrun by another vendor again.... I don't want to say it in the post.. but... it definitely sounds like a vendor...

It's Monday and I don't want to go back to work after a week off doing wedding planning and relaxing!!!! I started back again last night not sleeping due to stress (last week was the first week I actually slept all through the night every night in months).

After meeting with 2 of my bm's yesterday (one being MOH), they are getting aggrivated with the one BM that is "not wanting any part of participating".

TWC is upseting me cus they increased my bill now...it's now over 100.00...grrrrr

I wish I could. I'm with Kathy on her outrageous car repairs, though. I had to buy all new tires for my car this weekend - and that was an expense I wasn't expecting. So, I'm gonna have to suck it up and do it myself (with Sergio's help, of course). We may even have to move it all ourselves (except for the really big stuff - like couch and washer/dryer, etc.) Oh well. :)

my B&M is for DW, more than me, and has a little T&P request, too.

her job SUCKS ROYAL ARSE. she's been working 70-80 hours a week since Feb, almost every weekend, and comes home either fuming mad or crying almost every day. she has an interview tomorrow at a company that a friend works at and the friend swears they work normal hours and all really like each other. it would be REALLY great if she could get this. even if she has to take a cut in pay, it would be better to have her home more and reasonably happy, instead of miserable all the time because the jack-asses she works for can't get their sh*t together and blame an entire department's obvious failure on the employees, rather than on piss-poor management and planning.

so, if you can forgive all my cursing, please send positive vibes our way tomorrow. it will be much appreciated.

I can see how you would think I'm talking about you but I honestly was not. I was actually referring to my sister but I didn't really feel like getting to detailed so I just left it short. I got into a fight with her this weekend over something silly and she made everything into a big ordeal than it was. I saw no reason for her to get upset and I just wanted to say a little something.

Crytic I know and I'm so sorry you thought it was about you. Honestly I don't think us disagreeing on a venue is enough to B&M about. Again I am truly very sorry if you thought I was talking about you.

I think this looks really good. I don't think the nay-sayers are right in worrying that the bride would get "lost" in the midst of BMs wearing white or ivory dresses. After all, the groomsmen wear suits to match the groom in almost all cases. Yet nobody worries about the groom being indistinguishable.

I actually think the vendors are funny. I don't see what the big deal is (I mean obviously they have to be banned...that's not what I mean)... I do think it is fun to try and identify them though and banter with them if they come back.

The joke is on them really, as none of us are actually going to use them.
