Re: Hello?

• LP, ygpm - feel free to say no, I forgot to add that before sending.
• YES, the medals, I knew something looked bare under the post count.
• Edie - the medals are what I was trying to figure out was missing. I knew something else seemed off but I couldn't place what it was.

• Yum, DQ blizzards! DH and I took advantage of their sale this afternoon with the in-laws. :D

DH is playing Oblivion while I watch Hell's Kitchen on Hulu. I'm also trying to figure out what to do with myself next week while I'm off for Spring Break.

[QUOTE]Hi! DQ is having buy one get one for 99 cents blizzards this month, so we just went to get some for ourselves and my parents. But by the time we got back home, they were half melted. So, they are in the freezer. Once they are solid again, H and I are going to eat them and watch Minority Report. Fun times. Pirate I am jealous of your garden plans! That sounds awesome.

I'm only on Season 3, so I'm still catching up. Gotta have something to do while DH plays video games. ;)
• I hate being lactose intolerant, man. I could really go for an Oreo Blizzard right about now. Or a Dilly bar. Or a hot fudge sundae. Or a peanut buster parfait. God, I love that place. I need to find one that actually serves food not just desserts, because I love their Grillburgers too. All the DQs around here are the ones that just serve ice cream and cakes.

• pirate - do you take Lactaid? I've found that with ice cream, it only works about 50% of the time. And that's a risk I'm just not willing to take.

Ninda - do you have any Pillsbury biscuits or English muffins? I saw a picture of an egg cooked eggs-in-a-basket-style on an English muffin on the cover of a magazine while I was grocery shopping. They had taken cooked bacon and chopped it up and sprinkled it on top, and it looked soooooo good. I'm going to have to try that for brunch when my H gets home from deployment. He'd LOVE that.

One of the greatest joys in my garden has been learning about heirloom tomatoes and seeing how different all of the different varieties are. Its amazing how all grow and change and their textures and colours. I love them. You guys arent talking about tomatoes anymore, but whatever.

That said. MAD MEN IS ON IN TEN FUCKING MINUTES!
• I do, Mehg. There are only a couple flavors of ice cream I'm willing to risk it on. A local place here makes the best honey flavored ice cream.

I also get the lactaid brand milk, which I think only helps about 50% of the time. Horizon brand has a lactose free which is better, for me anyway. Also Breyer makes a lactose free vanilla ice cream, that plus lactaid pills are usually okay.

Nebb, we can talk about tomatoes again. What's a good starter heirloom that would work well canned?
• nom. I bought myself a DQ cake this weekend, because H never got one for my birthday. So I definitely had a slice yesterday... and today. It was delicious.

Hi everyone :) I'm just bumming around, looking at tickets for FLORIDA. My hockey team kicked ass tonight (5-2!!) so we're going to the Frozen Four in Tampa! My dad's looking at airline tickets and hotels and I'm looking for game tickets. I'm so freaking excited I can't even stand it.
• steph - my favorite part of DQ ice cream cakes is the fudgy cookie crunch stuff in the middle. OMG my mouth just watered thinking about it.

For canning, im not sure to be honest. I plan to do canning this summer but I will probably confer with the farmer I buy my plants from and buy the tomatoes straight from her. I only do one plant of each variety so I wont have enough at any given time to can (which is why I normally freeze my tomatoes). I need to figure that out though.
• We don't have near enough freezer space, we really need a chest freezer. So my plan is canning this year.

• FI and i just watched Match Point and I just made my first batch of cookies with my new mixer: Oatmeal raisin! FI doesnt like them at all. Probably because there's no sugar or chocolate lol. They're not AWESOME, but they're still alright!

• I'm so jealous, Steph. If i had any disposable money that would be such a fun trip. Who the eff puts the FROZEN four in Tampa anyway? It would be way better here. ;)

Canned biscuts NEVER come into my house (unless I'm making monkey bread) I make my own....it's a Southern thing...? But on an English muffin that sounds awesome! Sounds like a take on Eggs Benedict....which is my FAVE breakfast!!!
