How you met: Originally we met in band in Jr. High. We were in band together through high school and we became good friends by the end. We lost touch when I went away to college but a mutual friend re-connected us when I moved back down state for grad school.
How he proposed: We went to watch the sunset on the ocean before going out to dinner during one of my trips out to visit him. It was a special spot we went to the first time we were out there when I was helping him move. We spent forever up there though and I started to wonder what was going on, but he was just waiting for people to clear out so we could have a private moment.
Something else you want to share with us: We've been long distance for just over three years but I am moving out there at the end of the month!

How you met: We both went to University of Michigan. We met our senior year, we lived in the same co-op house and hung out a lot during the school year. I graduated that spring and he decided to stay for a fifth year. During the summer, I came back to the house a lot to hang out and we started dating.
How he proposed: We went up north to Traverse City for a long weekend. We had a perfect day together wine tasting, visiting a light house on a beach, going out to dinner and walking around town. When we got back to the hotel he proposed. He wanted it to be just the 2 of us and couldnt get a moment alone all day! :-)
Something else you want to share with us: I am loving planning! I have most of the big things (date, venue, dress, officiant, photographer) out of they way so I'm not sure what I'm going to do for all these months!

How you met: FI was in a metal band with some of my friends from high school. I had just graduated high school, and their band played a show at my school that my brother's band was playing as well. I went with my boyfriend at the time, but I was so intrigued by this mystery guy...I just had a feeling that I needed to get to know him. A few weeks later, we started chatting on Facebook and he drove down to hang out with me and our mutual friends. We have been inseparable ever since!
How he proposed: He told me he was taking me down to Campus Martius (our original reception venue choice) so we could stake out the park and discuss how we were going to set it up. (Yes, we had already started talking about wedding plans!) He took me over by the fountain and started reminiscing about the last 4 years...then he got down on one knee, asked me to marry him, I cried, and we ate Lafayette's. Best day ever!
Something else you want to share with us: We just got approved to rent our first house! We move next weekend. Can't wait to get out of our small apartment :)
