Anyone else staying in tonight?

One reason I can't wait to be back in Raleigh is that I would have friends in the same city again. I'd love to go out for a drink tonight but all my friends are in Raleigh, even the ones who technically live here for school. Boo. 

What are yall up to tonight? Any fun weekend plans?

    I usually stay in on Friday nights. I am always tired and want to relax. Tomorrow we are going to a giraffe ranch and then to do some shopping and eating. I think Sunday will be a cleaning and relaxing day.

    I am! I am SO tired, I feel asleep by 10 PM last night (probably closer to 9) & am just about ready to pass out so FI & I staying in. We both also work tomorrow morning and we are trying to budget/save so yeah. 

    No plans at all, sunday we clean. lol Life is thrilling.

    No plans for me this weekend.  After having been gone the last 3 weekends I am looking forward to staying home and relaxing.  I may go get my hair cut tomorrow, though.

    I'm a little bummed today.  Someone I know from camp is getting married tomorrow.  I wouldn't consider us to be friends so I was not expecting to be invited to the wedding, but a lot of our camp friends have been talking it up on FB all week, so I'm a little bummed I won't get to see them tomorrow.

    Petal, not sure. Hopefully by August. 

    I would love to be in bed by 10 tonight but tomorrow night I'm working at the bar so if I stay up late tonight then I'll be more likely to sleep in a bit tomorrow which will make it easier to stay up late Saturday night. I've got it down to a science.

    We might be-although the grocery situation is really bad so we may go out to eat. I'll be home all weekend pretty much. We were invited to a party tomorrow, but i don't want to go, so FI is going by himself.

    I want to try and get as much of The Help finished as I can this weekend.  I'm really enjoying it, but it's taking forever to read.  Of course, I should just shut down my laptop and turn on my Kindle, but I don't see that happening anything in the next hour at least.

    Is The Help good? I feel like if it were fantastic you wouldn't be able to put it down. But maybe that's just me. Once I get sucked into a book, reading it is basically the only thing I do until I've finished it.

    Well, when I borrowed it from the library back in Feburary I got majorly sidetracked with two projects I needed to work that took up most of my free time until mid-April.  At that point I was probably 30% into it.  I picked it back up last weekend while visiting a friend and have read some almost every night this week and am up to 48%.

    I'm staying in. I kinda like it like that. Was planning to cook dinner for H and I then do some baking for a brunch I'm going to tmrw., but H decided to stop by his aunt's tonight so I'm cooking for one!

    I'm here for a little while. 

    Dh is out.  I could have gone, but really didn't feel like it. Every  time DH goes out with this guy he ends up regretting it.    Staying home with the pup, drinking some wine sounded like a much better plan.








    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    I enjoyed reading The Help and found it to be an overall easy read. It also didn't hurt that our plane was delayed while we were sitting on it so there wasn't much other choice.

    I was disappointed by the movie because I felt too many things were altered or left out. It always happens that way.

    Lynda, FI has a couple of friends like that. I guess most guys probably do. Still, it can be a pain in the butt when they go out together because FI comes back extra wasted and annoying.

    I'm here!  Pulled pork in the crockpot and damn does it smell good.  Spending the evening in and relaxing.

    Stlz, that's how I console myself if I'm sad I didn't get invited to a wedding, haha.

    FI's best friend/BM just found out he made the Canadian team for the Henley Royal Regatta in England this summer! He's been a competitive rower for some years now & this is could very well lead him to making the Canadian Olympic team in the future! So excited for him!

    Well, I guess I'll go buy The Help soon. I need some summer reads. 

    Well, he never went to the doctor. The swelling is down but the bruising is up. He wouldn't call his parents to ask for help and if he's not willing to ask his parents for any help then I'm not paying for a doctor. I said I'd pay/help pay if he at least asked his parents for help first.

    I have no interest in reading The Help.  But I'm weird, so there's that.

    I'm making dinner, which is weird since my H had the day off.  But apparently he got stuck in construction traffic on his motorcycle ride, which is...whatever.  I mean, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't irritated, because I am, but it's not like he could help it. 

    We have our 5k tomorrow, so we'll definitely be going to bed early.  Hopefully.

    Yall are doing a 5K together? That is adorable! 

    Thanks Strlz. It made me realize how comfortable he's become with assuming I'll pay for everything since instead of asking his parents he went out and bought himself an ankle brace.

    Evening!  Our weekend miraculously opened up.  We were supposed to have plans tomorrow and Sunday but they fell through, so we have no plans.  I'm so excited!  Although right now I'm sitting on the couch watching Twilight :/  H's choice, not mine.  At least I have wine and snacks.

    Does your H actually like Twilight, Adamar?  My BIL makes all kinds of comments when I go to visit because we usually end up watching on of the movies one night while I'm there.  I think he's still mad that we took  him (and our dad and other BIL) to see the first one when it was at the theater.  They could've stayed home, but chose to come.
