[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Another Newbie : That's okay, Zip. I like Potato Buds. I grew up on them. I must agree with Panda regarding seagull hatred. We used to fear getting shat on by them during PE.

I think part of my love for them is because a swarm of them descended upon my dad when I was little and pelted him with poop. It was hilarious.

Zip - I like potato flakes, too. I have to buy a giant box of them 'cause FI just learned how to make them (believe me, the man can hardly boil water, so this is a major accomplishment) and now that's all he wants to do - 6 out of 7 mornings when he gets home from his graveyard shift, he makes those things...I may have to tell him the store ran out when this box is empty.

    Catfish - welcome aboard.

I've accidently kicked a pigeon before. I was in Hawaii walking through a parking garage. I was just walking normal and I thought it would move, but it didn't and I kicked it. :(

I am scared of seagulls too. One day my boyfriend and I were on a pier at the beach and a lady and her daughter were fishing. Well right about the time we walked up they caught a fish and a seagull decided it belonged to him. The lady had no idea how to take the fish off, so I was taking the fish off the hook while my guy was defending me from this crazy seagull.

A seagull stole my cookie at Disney World when I was 5, and I haven't liked them since. That's enough for me.

I saw a seagull once steal a pb&j sandwich right out of a little girl's mouth while she was eating it... its beak managed to pierce her little lip. It was really scary, and my Mom always made us eat with towels over our heads to hide the food from then on whenever we were at the beach.

Zip, I like the fake mashed potatoes, too, but just one kind in particular. Idahoan. Don't mind the gulls, either.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Another Newbie : I am very glad that you like pigeons and dehydrated potatoes and seagulls. Seriously, all those things need lovin' too. Also, when seagulls came up in the conversation, I couldn't help but think about Finding Nemo and those seagulls. I love those seagulls.

A seagull stole my sister's churro while we were at Sea World when we were little. She didn't even get a bite. She was about to lift it to her lips, and suddenly there was a flurry of feathers, squaking, and a weight on my shoulder where it landed. Then it was gone, leaving only a tiny stump of a churro behind.

Again, it amused me. Because I am apparently cruel.

    Me too :(

I don't particularly care for pigeons, but I feel bad for them when people hurt them. One time I was in Venice, which is full of pigeons, and these stupid American boys were kicking pigeons left and right. I just got so angry, I ran up and started yelling at them. They stopped kicking the pigeons, but I'm pretty sure it's just because they wanted to get away from crazy pigeon lady.
Also it makes me sad when people hurt kittehs.

Anyway, OP, hi and welcome to the board :)

I have a suggestion, let's feed all the pigeons and seagulls fake potato flakes and then they won't need to steal food from the mouthes of small children (seriously, that is gross).

    Hi and welcome!
