[QUOTE]There are certain things you announce over the intercom and there are certain things that should be for teachers' ears/eyes only. For example, it is probably bad practice to announce that all teachers need to be in the hallways today -- year I know it's our job, but let's not let all 2200 kids know that the administration is on edge. Or how about not announcing that a bus was late, giving all the perpetually tardy kids a free excuse? Also, who the eff throws a trash can in a fight?

Our principal routinely goes on the intercom to let us--and all 2100 students--know that there are a lot of subs on campus sometimes.  Yes, let's announce it to the students that no real learning is going on today.

    Is the teacher okay?

Ben is going on a cruise next week with his best man and his family.  They offerered it to him for a great price so I told him to go.  Part of me is really going to miss him and part of me is glad I will finally get to sit down and watch the SATC movie.

Completely not related to anything today but the last episode of The Office with Steve Carell will be April 28th, in case you aren't aware.

Thanks for the info.  I've been catching up since January and some of them have been pretty good.  I really can't wait to see Will Farrell's episodes.

On top of that, read what you sign before you complain. I had someone complain on us for "price gouging" yesterday when we set out some beer buckets as a courtesy for her group that she was paying $xx per person as part of an hourly bar package. She didn't get that it was a flat rate no matter how much or how little they consumed and complained that she was overcharged. Sadly I didn't get to whip out her contract that she signed explaining exactly what she was paying for.

Merritt I agree with that whole Cappella Court thing. It's just like Miss Alfred Angelo a few weeks back that seemed to come here for the very reason of complaining.

I flame people who can't respond to direct questions. We have 14 people going out with us tonight. I sent a fb message asking who was meeting at our house to condense cars and who was meeting us out. 12 out of 14 people responded, the two who didn't are a couple and get on my nerves anyway; maybe I am just touchy about them.

I also flame the girl in this couple for randomly changing her first name this week. No explanation - when people asked on fb they got "You'll get used to it." I am kind of wondering if she didn't respond to my message because I put her "old" name.

Hmm, now I'm wondering if I can work this into the pre-wedding festivities. Otherwise, it'd be a week and a half until we'll get back to watch it on our DVR!

I have no flames for anyone but myself. I'm getting ready to cut the final checks, and I feel a little bit of panic every time I look at the numbers. Despite the fact that we have the money, and in a specific account just for the wedding. We can afford this and this is all going completely according to plan. But I still feel guilty signing so much money away, and I don't know why!

Well, probably because I'm a very, very frugal person in my normal, non-wedding-related life. I thought I was prepared for this ... but I guess not.

Yeah, whenever people's reviews come across as more vindictive rather than actually trying to help people, I don't pay much attention to them. Particularly when there doesn't seem to be much reason for feeling vindictive other than "how dare you not treat me like the most important person in the world." I mean if a company for real  deceives you or commits some egregious act like singling you out because you're fat, or screws you over and doesn't try to make it right, in that case yeah by all means I can see wanting to let everyone know in order to (help others and) screw the company back. But I can't imagine getting that upset about discovering you don't click with someone before you've put any money down.

I flame this lady at my work. Yes, we're short a person. But we're not busy so why wait an extra 30 minutes to go to lunch. You go at 11...not 11:30. Which means it will be dang near 1 before I get to go.
Not to mention calling someone else to come back on thier lunch break. When everyone knows she wouldn't do it. and of course she has to go run to management about it. I could pop someone in the face right now.
