I don't think anyone is calling anyone else unpleasant to look at, I think it's Palywhatever's goofy tongue-over-the-bottom-teeth smile and bby's son's tongue that freaked people out. I think we are freaked out by tongues, now that I type that!

No one did that. If you're referring to what Fische said, and what I agreed with, you should go back and read the post. No one said anything about anyone else's looks. In fact, I don't think I've ever (and I haven't been here that long, so I'm sure it has happened, just before my time) seen anyone say anything negative about the way anyone looks. A picture being creepy doesn't mean someone thinks the poster is ugly.

I'm not one to judge looks, at all. I know I'm not the most pleasant person to look at. I just clean up well for pictures.

I hope you don't feel like anyone has ever talked about you before? That'd be awfully insenstive. And I think the general consensus on the board is you only flame what people can change.

Lauren, someone called it "meth-y." There was at least one other comment, too, not including what crfische said, which could have been interpreted in any number of ways.

I haven't noticed anyone doing this lately. I mentioned the new Squirlly's sig pic beacuse it's just unflattering (as pictures of any of us in mid-drunken-jump-roping would probably be) and awkward to look at. I'm sure she's a beautiful girl, but that photo doesn't show it.

ETA: I forgot (already) about the "meth-y" comment, although I can't bring to mind that photo. I think I need to eat or something.

Yeah. . . I don't think it's people flaming the FACE - it's flaming the PHOTO. I do not think her photo is flattering. That has nada to do with my opinion of what SHE actually looks like. At all.

I didn't care about the one of bbyckes son either way.

Yeah, AC I really wish I could edit that part out because it does seem like a "tell me I'm purty" beg but honestly, at this stage of my life I am so past that. Please believe me when I say no, it wasn't, although I see how it could be read that way.

I guess the "meth-y" comment seemed overly harsh and was the one I specifically meant. Also the suggestion that it looked like she was dipping snuff - maybe that's just the way she smiles? I doubt she'd post a deliberately unflattering pic of herself, so that just seemed over the top mean to me.

I did not say she looked like she was on meth. I will accept that it could be interpreted as such and I openly apologized if it offended anyone.

The "feel" of the pic comes off meth-y to me. I don't know how else to describe how it comes across to me. Again, my apologies. I am in no way insinuating that she is a drug user or anything. The pic is just off to me. I am not commenting on how the look of her or her fiance. I don't know if I can over-explain anymore than I already have.

LVB, got freaked out by the pic of my son. I didn't get offended. I changed it. What, go on a tirade about how dare you comment? Who cares. I changed the pic. Squirrelly29 or whatevs, should heed this advice as well.

Right. It "feels" methy. That explanation after being called out on it totally explains it and makes it all better.

Plus, you're right, someone DID say something about one of YOUR pictures, which does give you the "comment on someone else's picture for free" card.

On a completely different and only tenuously related topic, a few months ago there was a story on the news about a car being stopped and police finding drugs hidden on a baby.

The headline they ran with it was "Methy Diaper."

I laughed for a week.
