What is everyone up to this weekend?

2»

Re: What is everyone up to this weekend?

  • Tonight: Laundry and making dinner for FI. Probably watching a movie on Netflix or something.

Tomorrow: Going to go buy the suits for FI and his groomsman. Men's Warehouse is running their buy one get one free sale so we are taking advantage of that. Also, since we're going into a bigger city than the one where we go to school, I'm shopping for DIY supplies and looking for a dress for my shower that's on March 11.

Sunday: Working and finishing up some homework.
  • Tonight: sleeping! I'm coming down with something. I feel awful. Tomorrow: our new kitty has her first vet visit. I hope she is okay. After that, cleaning and more cleaning. FI's parents are staying with us next weekend while FMIL and I go to Chinatown to find a qi pao for my reception dress. FMIL still doesn't know we got a new kitty. Hehehe she hates cats. I can't wait to see the look on her face when Lucy asks for pettings.
  • Tonight: The first night of the girls weekend that my parent's friends always have and the second generation is joining in. I'm only going tonight but it should be epic amounts of fun.

Tomorrow: FI is cooking me breakfast at his apartment and then I'm going to a wrestling tournament with him. After, we'll watch shows from his DVR.

Sunday: Church & relaxing I think. I'm honestly not sure if there are plans for Sunday after church. Working out would be a good idea as well.
  • Today has been really good, so far! I slept in a bit this morning because I stayed up way too late last night, taught my undergrad physical activity class (aquatics), had a 20 min treadmill session (2 miles), and then went to a session with Dr. Stefan Kuhle on the "Determinants and consequences of childhood obesity in Canada." He had some really interesting data on perinatal risk factors. Then I had a meeting with my faculty's vice-dean. She was really helpful in giving me some direction and things to consider with regards to my thesis. Now I'm chilling before swim practice and coaching. I have a few more school/teaching things to do.

Saturday: I am looking forward to a fairly relaxed day! I'd like to get some housecleaning done, and maybe some shopping and cooking too. My youngest brother will be coming here again for soccer, so I'll be picking him up in the evening and bringing him back to our place.

Sunday: Church, then I have to take my bro to soccer. FI and I have an inservice at work in the evening, so we'll have to miss small group again, unfortunately. However, we'll get to spend some time with one of FI's female attendants, who is a good friend to both of us.
  • Working. Last night, tonight, and tomorrow night 7p-7a. (Why do I feel like whenever I actually get a chance to post in this thread that's how I answer? Rawr..) Sunday, after I take a little 3rd shift slumber, I think we are going to FINALLY get a dining room table. Which excites me because, since we moved in December 19, we have been eating off TV trays in the living room or standing at kitchen counter. It's the little things.... ;)
  • Tonight: Watching SYYTD and Four Weddings and addressing my very late STDs. All 200 of them. By hand. Ugh.

Tomorrow: Going visit my MOH. We're going to thrift and antique stores looking for vintage vases for my centerpieces. She loves to go thrifting so I know she'll have fun, too since she'll be interested in looking around for herself. I can't wait!

Sunday: Relaxing, grading papers, and probably finishing any remaining STDs.

  • Today: I went back to the drs because after 10 days of antibiotics I am still feeling very bad. They gave me two more prescriptions and told me to rest. SO tonight watching way to much tv. I also have my dads log in for netflix so maybe some movies.

Saturday: Grocery store, clean the house and rest some more. My friend might come over and hang out with me.

Sunday: see fi I for like two hours in the morning before he goes to work. This weekend and week are crazy for him because of Valentines day. Then I have to do some baking. I'm dying to make these homemade asigo bagels I pinned on pintrest.

[QUOTE]Tonight-  Going to try and get a long workout in and do laundry (exciting stuff!) Saturday- dig out my ski geard and start getting the office cleaned up and ready.  I will be officially starting my new job on the 21st.  I will be working out of my home office for the first time, so I want to make sure it is ready to go. Sunday- Going to attempt to learn how to snowboard.  I have been a skier all my life, but I am going to try snowboarding for the first time.  Really excited!

I also have skiied all my life. I took a day of snowboarding lessons about 5 years ago and really enjoyed it but ultimately stuck with skiing. Have fun!

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: What is everyone up to this weekend? : I simply made a template with paper and now I'm assembling them.  I made a template so they would work best with my invitations and the rest of the paper products (done with VP).  It is WAY more cost effective than purchasing them though it can take a lot of time to assemble.  I can get 1.5 pocketfolds out of a normal 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock.  I paid about $2 per 50 sheets at Joanns with a coupon so that works out to about a quarter per pocketfold.  Then I just have glue dots to hold everything together which costs a few cents more per completely assembled invite.

I'm impressed!  I don't think I can do that, so color me green!  Can't wait to see the final product!

But when it's over you go into a room with lots of food... And all of it is covered in chocolate! Sunday- work then a birthday party. Then the usual Sunday dinner with my best friends family :)
