Yesterday, we had a little bat clinging to the bricks outside our door. We watched him and as night fell, he didn't fly away. He finally flew about 25 feet to the middle of our street and started walking down the street. H got his leather work gloves, picked up the bat and took it to our neighbor's birdbath. The little guy drank some, so then H put him in our tree. He climbed around a little and showed more signs of life. H tried to give him some sugar water, which the bat drank, then we finally went inside. The bat's still hanging there this morning. I think he's dead.

I think we need to call animal control because there's been several reports of rabid bats in CO. All our animals are up to date on their shots, but I really don't want either of our kitties snacking on dead bat.
As for work, they have me doing stuff that I haven't been trained for and I'm stumbling along, probably doing waaay more detail than I need to, but I wouldn't know how much they need. I went to go ask yesterday afternoon and the people who assigned me the task were already gone for the day. Sigh. They said we usually farm this stuff out, but we're trying to save money. Happy joy for me.
