Two flaky vendors have no idea their lives are in jeopardy...
I cannot understand why, if I am offering to bring a large crowd into your restaurant and bar during the tourist off-season, it seems like a great idea to neglect to return my phone call or reply to my emails reagrding reservations and prices. I know that there are limited options in our neck of the woods, but effing seriously. This is a recession, folks. I think you'd want some business. I would like to order my invites and finish my budget. And I can't unless you vendors email me back. I. Will. Cut. You.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. The vendors are not places that traditionally do wedding related things, so I think maybe they are thinking that the date is far enough off that it doesn't matter.
My best friend has dealt with both vendors for private parties in the past and it worked out great... I am just wondering how to light a fire under some asses without pissing them off.

This. If they are too busy/unorganized/not interested in dealing with you in the planning stage, then I would fear that they would be too busy/unorganized/not interested for my event.
