Latin American Customs - Arras and Mantilla

Hi ladies!

My fiance's family is Latin American (from Cuba and Venezuela) and we want to continue his parents' and grandparents' tradition of the blessing and exchange of coins (arras) and the blessing of the mantilla (veil, which the mothers of the bride and groom place on the bride and groom's shoulders). We're dealing with a pretty strict Catholic church and having a full Catholic Mass, and the priest has never heard of these traditions before. Can anyone link to me to an official source explaining when the traditions occur in the Mass and providing some official back up for these traditions? Can anyone tell me what to call these traditions in the church program (I have "blessing and exchange of coins" and "blessing of the mantilla" in my draft program).

Thanks so so much!!
