Moments like this

So I posted yesterday that my chair cover lady from Moments like this canceled on me, which that part is true, which I later that day found out she had a tragic family issue come up that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.  

I was I think maybe selfish and all I could think about was me me me and my wedding and the linens and chair covers and what am I gonna do!! All I wanted to do at the time was vent on the knot and not think rationally.  But really it's not the end of the world, there are more important things in life. 

She is refunding me all of my money back, and I have to admit this isn't something she would do to another bride with the circumstances that have happened to her.  I still have 3 of my friends that have weddings booked with her throught my referral and are still staying with her!!!! 

I apologized to her and I'm sorry to any brides I have mislead!

    She was pretty rude in her response that she posted though. She basically called you a liar and used your last name on a public forum. That is just not acceptable IMHO. But to each their own.

    It's fine to talk about the situation as long as it doesn't escalate into something that would entice the vendor to create a screenname and come online for a third time...

    Now I want to know what her post said, nosy I am apparantly;)  I thought about going with her at one point for our chair covers.  Hopefully what ever tragic thing happened she's ok though.

    Megs - I wouldn't feel bad about your reaction, how were you to know.  Maybe she should have explained further when she canceled what her situation was.  If that was me and I was running a business, I would think I would def. explain more in that situation to my customer.  Especially when she knows how much Vendors business's can depend to a point on reviews and word of mouth of other brides.  But JMO.

    I hear Decki is great though, so you should have no worries now!

    Sara I hear your point.  I would still look into her, what happened in my situation and hers, would not happen to anyone else.  I only say this because you can't beat her prices, it's worth it.  I am spending $300 more on the other place I'm going with, so it's kind of a bummer!

    Meg, so who are you going with now for linens and chair covers|? I was going to go throughy Moments like this, but they are completly booked for my wedding day   :( and there is NO place that beats their prices.  Please let me know!

    I would just like to add in that I am going with Moments Like This for my chair covers for my wedding in July, and found out about it from rave reviews on this exact board. When I read the original post I was really worried that the rumors about her skipping town or whatever were true and was wondering what to do about it. Well because the Vendor saw the OP, she saw that I had posted (matched my screen name with my email address) and emailed me to let me know what had happend and that she was still doing business and was not skipping town or anything. Now I know it's a little odd that she was on here, especially when they aren't supposed to be, but I thought it was nice of her to contact me to let me know what was going on. She is going through a family situation that is absolutely horrible, and it's unfortunate that it didn't work out for megs. At this point all I will do is wait and hope that things turn out well for me with her service in July. I think some people should be respectful of the awful situation she is in and maybe see that her reaction by posting on here might have been due to the rollercoaster of emotions she has been on lately (although I understand it doesn't excuse the way she went about it). Hopefully she can run some good events and erase the reputation she seems to have given herself on this board.

    There's no excuse for vendors posting on the board.  None at all.  And this is her second strike in a one-strike-you're-out playbook.  I hope she gets the idea - I've sent the issue up the chain at TK, both nationally and locally.
