Hello I just got engaged just over a month ago and i checked a few wedding places out in Manhattan where we live but they are all very expensive and they don't offer much. I have family and friends all over the NYC area including Long Island, so Russo's On The Bay is kind of in the middle. They seem to offer lots of food and are friendly. Good food is important to us. I also went to Marina Del Rey and that was very pretty. i don't know how there food or service is. I put a deposit down on Russo's to hold the Saturday Stop, they give you 30 days to get a refund. They are the same price. I don't want to look any more cause i just get more confused. I just want to make sure i am picking the right place. Any info would be helpful.
Thank you

Wow this post looks so odd!

I just attended a wedding at Russo's on the Bay. The food is really good and it has a great reputation. If you are looking for a traditional wedding, you will like Russo's.

I know someone who got married at Marina Del Rey and I heard it was wonderful.  If I had the budget and was having a slightly larger wedding, I would have gone there.  I love the way the venue looks.

we looked at marina del ray and it was really nice. my parents attended an event there and stated the food was over the top. when we looked, we were impressed with the venue and location for photos, however, the bathrooms were REALLY SMALL (my dress was huge) we opted for another venue but it was between the other venue and marina del ray.

From a former Queens girl I can tell you Russo's and Marina del Rey are comparable.

If you want a place for pictures though and no added expense then Marina.
Russo's has just added a small park and its cute but limited.

Russo's food and staff however can't be beat.

    Good luck

I chose Marina, the food and location is fabulous. They are so accomodating and the service is awesome. I've heard great things about Russo's but it's more expensive from what I understand. I don't know about Russo's but Marina has 1/5 hr cocktail hr and if you are having your ceremony on sit they are very accomodating in regards to getting int the bridal suite early. Good luck! and Congrats!
