Re: SS AW & Reveal Thread

  • I have book coasters too! I love them.

I posted an AW a while ago but I got a Diet Coke ornament, an infinity scarf, and orange tree seeds. I'm pretty sure they were from LDY. I love how she worked in our Florida connection with the orange stuff <3
  • I received my present from DJ. She gave me a four-pack of notepads in various sizes, and a necklace/earring set with butterflies.

Thank you, DJ! I love butterflies, and H has been listening to me whine about running out of decent notepads. Great gift!

  • Mine apparently went in the mail yesterday, so I don't know when I'll get it.

Fezz - I'm glad you like it!  I wanted the candle to be a bit reminiscent from where I live to throw in some Canadian for you!

  • MrsTR got me awesome scented candles, a really pretty candle holder and a star ornament that is gracing the top of our tree this year.

Adamar got me some BicBands (headbands) for running and made me a super cute wreath.

    ETA:  the wreath

  • Fezz is awesome and got me all sorts of goodies, a cookbook, apron, doggie treats, cat toys, a card, and some super cute Buddha statues. I love her.
  • MK, I'm glad you like it! I was debating between the earmuffs and the cowl, but Nordstrom sold out of the teal you picked out.

I may be picking up some earmuffs for myself. Those were cute.
  • I'm so glad you like it, Anna - I won't lie, I asked like 8 people if they thought those were good gifts - eventhough everyone said yes, I was still paranoid :) I HEART YOU!

And I dont have my SS gift yet, but I'm super excited to get it!
  • Baystate got me ~ and she got me some delicious Godive peppermint bark, a snickerdoodle cookie kit, the softest warmest pink socks EVER and a beautiful winter hat with sparkles on it!

    I LOVE it all!!! :)
  • I do not have my SS gift yet either but must admit I am very excited about it coming.

I just sent mine out last week to my SS so not sure that they got it yet,  It was going all the way across the country!  Snail Mail!
  • I posted mine a while back.  MK gave me a HUGE box of goodies, caramel popcorn, chocolate coated pretzels, all sorts of deliciousness that H and I demolished :)  Thanks MK!

  • Babe - It sounds like you're having fun in MA for Christmas!  I'll wave at you and BJ's on Friday as we drive out the pike to my mom's house! :D
  • MuSu got me an AWESOME Harry Potter necklace:

    It's a snitch!

And I got a huge bag of Reese's pieces:

H has been helping me eat them.  I keep finding the bag open.  True fact: I used to have a cat named Reese's pieces.

  • Oh, Adamar, those Reese Pieces are calling to me through the screen!  I used to get Reese Pieces and popcorn at the movie theater.  Put 'em together and it's an amazing salty sweet snack for the movies.  LOVE THOSE THINGS!
  • That sounds awesome, MP.  Have you tried out the bic bands?  I'm curious if they work as well as they say they do.  I think we might have the same kind of hair, and headbands never stay on my head.

I've run in them twice now.  They haven't fallen off at all, but I feel like they're sliding back.  I think that they are just sitting in an awkward spot on my head.  I might just have to get used to it.

But they look awesome and seriously haven't budged.  I might just be paranoid.  I do have really silky hair, so it's possible that things slide more easily.

ETA: by the way, did you make the wreath?  I'm seriously impressed!
  • I did!  Thank you pinterest for the tutorials on the flowers.

  • Thanks :)  I've been making them like crazy lately.  I just made a couple more for headbands for my nieces.

SpecialK - I love that movie theater combo!

I tend to stay in the treble.  For the past 10 years, I've pretty much played E&F 6&7(&8) or G&A 6&7(&8).

I like the challenge of the E&F part.  It's probably one of the hardest on the table.  Plus my weak little wrists don't like picking up the giant bass bells.  I had to play like E3 or something in one song, and I had to use two hands to pick it up.

The New Girl episode about the handbells was on again last night.  I love it for the national exposure of handbells, but cringed at a few minor details.
  • I'm glad you liked it, BJ :)

  • I posted a thread a while ago AWing what I got, but I got a pair of earrings, some SEED BOMBS, a coffee mug, and reeces cups.

I know my SS was from dc, and they had nice handwriting. Using my super slueth skills I am guessing she is Anna. but I could be wrong.

Also? I mailed my SS gift monday, so someone should be getting that soon!

Did you play at church?  That's where I started.  Then I continued and got really into the harder stuff in college and beyond.  I just quit my community group last year.

MrsB also plays handbells in a serious group.  YAY HANDBELLS!!  When it's done well, they can be really cool!!  (well dorky cool)

I have not yet washed the socks <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-embarassed.gif" border="0" alt="Embarassed" title="Embarassed" /> I really don't want to have to not wear them. I've been putting them on each day when I get home so I can sleep in them.
  • Yes Rosie! It was meeee! I'm glad you liked it Kiss
