I ordered a custom headpiece -- a little fascinator hat with feathers and a birdcage veil -- from an Etsy seller with a well-established shop and excellent feedback.
I just received it in the mail and it looks AWFUL. The seller glued the fabric to the
top of the hat frame. It has jagged edges (since she didn't bother to fold the fabric over the edges of the frame and glue it underneath) and creases and bumps from uneven gluing. I am SO sad right now. SO SAD.
... OK, in the grand scheme of things, it's
just a hat. But, still! I was looking forward to getting this for the last two months and now I wish I had saved myself the $120 and made it myself. I can't sew, but damn it, I CAN GLUE.
I'm not posting the name of the seller yet because I want to give her a chance to make things right; I just had to vent.
