This is something I should be over by now, but I'm still really angry at my photographer for taking shittastic pictures of my wedding and not letting me see all of them. I understand pro photographers that don't want pictures floating around that aren't up to their standards, but this biitch isn't a pro. I probably should have taken that into consideration when I hired her, but it still makes me want to do violent things.

Rosie- I feel ya. I have a crazy nutso co-worker here who literally ripped the stapler out of my hand because it was bothering her. The boss knew and nothing was ever done. Apparently she is a good salesperson who they think is irreplaceable, even though I sat right next to her and heard her chit chat all day or take calls with everyone already knowing what the wanted. There was no sales pitch going on and they tell me that I am wrong.

And, FTR, I'm not crazy about demanding respect for my own so much, but it bothers me when people use the name of my religion and represent it badly. For me, one of the huge problems is that this current rapture hysteria runs directly counter to some things that are very clearly spelled out in the Bible. I don't believe or interpret literally everything in the Bible. But this is so totally counter to what we believe that the rest of us Christians are kind of, "Uhsaywhatnow? We don't all believe this."

You see examples of similar stuff, dangerous stuff, elsewhere: bin Laden, for all of his spouting about Jihad, was a pretty crappy Muslim. Most of what he did, most of what he built his power upon, most of the way he inspired fervor in his followers, was in direct opposition to the laws of his religion. And I don't find it hypocritical at all for other Muslims to stand up and say, "This person is not acting out our faith".

Celles, yes, I think you might have been misunderstanding exactly which Rapture people were mocking. I was confused by what you were writing here because I don't have an issue at all with the biblical Rapture, just the idiots who "predict" it and then spread their beliefs to other, more vulnerable, people and eventually causing them harm. This supposed Rapture tomorrow =/= the biblical vresion of The Rapture. (IMHO)

Alix I've always pictured you in my had as a savage African upstart clad in your undies. Is that weird?

I flame the scheduler at work who is an idiot and scheduled me for consecutive call weekends in July. Come on, don't be stupid. Because you know you can't fix stupid. I was prepared to just remain p!ssed at her until my supervisor stepped in and got some one to trade with me. She scheduled one of them on a four day weekend. Really? My supervisor schedules me a long weekend and you F it up? Now I'm on call the weekend after we come back from our honeymoon AND, it's the weekend of July 4th.

Opal, I feel the same way. It's really chapped my hide this week when people have assumed that all Christians believe that the Rapture is happening tomorrow (I'm not saying people on HERE have been saying it, mainly idiots I know on FB). I don't like it when the ignorant lump all religions into one category. Not all Jews are kosher. Not all Christians believe in the Rapture. See what I mean?
