Re: Say Anything Wednesday!

The post office returned my wedding albums to sender. Even though they were addressed correctly and I have lived there for several years.

I'm well beyond furious with them.

I am so sick of brides thinking that the world revolves around them because it's their wedding. The world does not revolve around you Your BM can't make it to a shower - get over it! It took your vendor more than an hour to get back to you - get over it! The hostess throwing your lame a** a shower sent out evites - get over it!

Sorry, I'm feeling a bit snarky today. Maybe I should have saved this for FFF.

Oh, and if I see one more effing post about hand cancelling your invites or that they got "dirty" through the mail I'm going to come through the monitor and shake you!

bahahahah.

Rcpm, why don't you tell us how you really feel? That made me chuckle. Especially the invite part.

I will say, my boss is stupid if she thinks I've done A-N-Y thing work related this week, or will do anything work related this week. Every day so far, I've come in late, and left early. And I'm sure that trend will continue tomorrow too. If I can just make it through today..and tomorrow....

I'm still seeing the remnats of my FIL's visit this weekend... this morning I noticed one of my dining chairs was in the living room. I was like WTF. Who moved that there and didn't put it back? They also forgot an ice chest and left a TON of food in my fridge. Not that I don't love free food, but most of it is stuff I won't eat. (black butter and Polish cheese anyone?)

My boss plays favorites and its so obvious that I am not one of them. I have had a migraine since Monday night but yet I'm still here working. She made a comment about my production numbers yesterday. I did 10 less than normal and can only see out of 1 eye right now. I say I did pretty good!
I have a co-worker (female version of Dwight from the Office) that calls in at least 2 Mondays a month with a migraine. She is fine all day Sunday and then Sunday night they come on and she just can't come into work on Monday and then somehow she is ok Monday night. I only know this because we are FB friends (she requested and I'm new and didn't want to start off with enemies) and her status is always something about getting wasted on the weekends and then Monday nights its usually "had too much fun this weekend, guess I'll go to work tomorrow". Well no wonder your head hurts! I'm seriously hurting over here about to puke and only have 1 good eye and I get crap for being here but not having my numbers where they need to be. Be lucky I'm here!!!

Also my lil sis finally wants to talk about the blow up Saturday night and if she tries to turn this all around and make it all be my fault I might seriously kick her out of the wedding! I'm done with her I'm the victim act she pulls on everyone!

I would give anything to go to a job where I can be on the internet all day. I DREAAAAAAAAAD going to work all day because I have to walk around and do things for strangers (bartending, waiting on them) and watch the clock all night. But it is my trained trade that I've been doing my whole life.
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.

I'm gonna say it... I'm going to just put it out there.

I am JEALOUS of everyone getting married before me! I still need all the time that I have to plan (and pay) but seeing everyone going through the process and the wedding days coming and going.... It makes me impatient for mine!!

Brianna, the 7 months will fly by like nobody's business.
I had a short engagement of 6 months .. and it all flew by soooo fast.

Your day will be here before you know it...

I get bitter of the people who got engaged after me but got married before me. I guess that happens when we take on the responsibility of paying for everything ourselves!

RCPM, I agree about the hand canceling. Around the time of when everyone was sending the invites, that was all that was talked about on my club board. I guess it is because we aren't that anal about the invites :)

Tiffany, I agree about the post office. Ever since I was in the process of mailing out the invites, I have not liked them. I got quoted 3 different prices for the same invite. Come on people, be consistent! And it took us two months to get back the marriage license because the post office sent it back to the sender even though we told them to be on the lookout for mail addressed to DH at my parents house.

It's stupid. Basically, the post office might or might not (again with the lack of consistency from our wonderful post offices) hand cancel the stamps (the process to make the stamps non reusable). It's basically on less machine they have to go through. One less machine means less likely for the invitation to get dirty. But the funny thing is, the invite still has to go through machines to direct them to the right zip code. Suckas!!!

Oh wow. I seriously don't care if the outer envelope gets dirty... I figure it will. I guess that I just know that some things are NOT worth worrying about. I'm glad that I'm not a zilla.

I didn't either. I really didn't put much time or moeny into the invites. I didn't see the point when most people will end up tossing them. I've NEVER kept any invitiations from my friend's weddings so I don't expect people to keep mine.

I love frozen grapes, too!

We met with our officiant yesterday and it went really well. I also met with our day of coordinator on Monday and I feel so much better about everything. That really helped my stress level.

Now just to do the 800 other things on my to-do list. ;)

Brianna - it will so be here before you know it!

I have been reading those hand cancelling threads too(on the October board). I just think they can't complain about how much it is going to cost to mail their super frufru invites or when they get a little bit of mail wear and tear. I can understand if it gets totally ripped up and stuff falls out of it but that is not what is happening. They are complaining about slight bends and little markings. (Lol maybe this should have been for FFF.)

This whole week I though I was going to be stress free since I'm on vacation and I'm not!!!!! :( I keep thinking about a dress day in and day out (pretty good sign it's the one) but I'm scared to order it due to I don't know what size to get. I don't want to order it too big then have to order another size...then again I don't want to order it too small either! I can't seem to find any dress in my size with the designer.

Then ontop of that, I'm stressed with the invite situation. We got our guest list, but it's still small. I want to invite like150-175 so we can have around 125-150 people showing up. It's not even at 150 yet (have a feeling a lot of people won't come since a lot of his family is in Lubbock and I know several people on my side won't come do to out of state). We got a food/drink min that has to be met and if we have too small of a crowd, even with the most expensive dinner buffet per person we're only 1/2 way to our food/beverage min!!!

I said the same thing!!! There is no reason to spend crazy amounts of money... I am not naive to the fact that they are TRASH after the wedding!

Brianna,

Yep, not to sound like a broken record, but it will be here SO SOON!

We got engaged this past Christmas eve, and the whole engagement flew by! I felt like these past 7 months would take forever..but they didn't. The last 3-4 months really go quickly! Just keep yourself busy with non-wedding related things, which I'm sure won't be hard to do with your little girl!

Britney I feel the same way!! I have two friends that got with thier So after I did and were in engaged at 3 months and two months. Both are getting married April and May of next year! It just pisses me off becuase both their families are paying for all of it! I know it's stupid, but like you. Yea I just put it out there.

I'm also, this will sound childish, but I'm annoyed that my sister can fail out of school and barely get in trouble with my folks!! This is the second school and they have paid for almost her entire education! They didn't do that for me and still after 2 Masters they are on my case for not having a better job! I have such Middle Child Syndrome!

I used to be a reg on our club board - but then a TON of new people showed up. Which is fine - but then it was like the exact same threads over and over. So, I'm never over there anymore.

Preach on sisters about the mailing. Who gives a crap about something that will be thrown away approximately 2.5 seconds after opening. Mine ended up with a giant ram stamp next to my ring ones. Oh well. There are definitely more important things to spend my time fretting over.

I'm pretty much at the point where I just want the wedding to be here. I'm tired of planning and thinking about it. Wedding burnout has arrived.

I do get a small break for the next two weeks though. Heading to good ol' Minnesota for a family reunion/90th birthday party and next weekend is my bachelorette party in Vegas. Yea!

I know once I get back I'll still have about a million of the little things to do like the aisle runner and pick out jewelry, etc.
