Good Morning.

I am at work super early because I woke up early, dragged my big butt out of bed, and went to the gym. It didn't take me half the time I expected it would to shower and get out of there so here I sit.

Good morning everyone.

I hate when I forget my phone. I always think I need to call H and the kid to tell them I forgot my phone, but I don't have my phone to call them.

ETA: Hike- Thank you. It's a big accomplishment for me.

Are you moving to FL? Which part?

    Morning ladies,

Did everyone have a good weekend? I was out sick yesterday so I'm a day behind - anything new going on?

We are moving to Georgia. It's basically Florida though. I think like 5 miles to the border.

HAPPY TUESDAY! I cut all caffeine except one cup of coffee in the morning, so I was downright loopy last night. I honestly counted the hours until my coffee this morning. I can think again! It's a miracle!

Good luck with the move, LHT! That's exciting!

    Thanks Bec!

I keep thinking things like "one more gas pump in the cold." Ha. Now that we have a house, I want to move like yesterday.

Morning! I'm trying to work from home today because Sparky is sick. We missed the first part of the game last night because we were at urgent care. This is our 5th visit for the same issue (wheezing) and they finally sent us home with a nebbulizer. He could technically go to daycare today, but his caregiver sounded like she was getting sick when I picked him up last night, so I'd rather keep him home. There are 2 kids out with pneumonia and I'd rather he not pick that up.

I'm so glad I fell asleep during the game because had I seen the end it would have made me cry.

So today I plan on trying to be productive with a sick baby attached. Seems like an exercise in futility...

    Morning!

Edie, I HATE it when I forget my phone. I feel like a part of me is missing. How am I supposed to Google things at the drop of a hat without my phone????

Last night was super low key. Derek played Skyrim all night. He's lucky I have to get up twice a night to pee now, or he'd have stayed up waaaaaaay too late/early. Again.

I've been trying to cut out caffeine too. I feel your pain. I was really bad over Christmas time, drinking like 2 pots a day.

So, my boss is talking to someone on the phone in Chinese (he's Taiwanese) and even now and then, I hear an English word. It's so funny to hear this completely different language interjected with the occasional "undergraduate", "financial aid".

Derek works with all Polish guys and laughs about that too. "Blah blah blah blah garbage bag. Blah blah blah blah blah coffee truck"

Mara and Bec, RE: coffee, any reasons other than just wanting to cut back? I tried to go cold turkey once (stupid GI Diet and it's no caffiene) and it just wasn't happening. With the whole pregnancy thing I've cut back, which is hard some days, but mostly ok. One can survive on 16 oz of coffee day.

I'd be lying if I didn't say I was looking forward to my first post-partum triple venti latte.

I am trying to cut caffeine too. I drink way too much pop, but I don't drink coffee. I guess I am trying to cut down on caffeine and sugar from the pop. I usually drink it all day long but today i haven't had any, and don't plan on having any until I feel a headache coming on. I might then drink a can of pepsi, just to keep it from ruining my day.

Hike-I'm jealous. I want out of the cold so bad. I want to move south, and plan on doing so after my kid graduates high school. I keep telling myself it's only three more winters after this one.

Well I'm off to do some work. Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies! I am cutting down my caffine as well. I am down to a cup a day and have been trying to drink herbal caffine free teas. I am dragging this morning though.

Sarah, I hope Sparky feels better. Poor little peanut. My nephew was always sick like that as a baby (always needed the nebulizer), but somehow he seemed to grow out of it.

    Morning, everyone.

Tuesday should really be Friday. I can't wait for this week to be over so that I can sleep a little more. This cold that I'm fighting is sucking my soul and keeping me up half the night!

On a positive note, my workload seems to be light today so I can take it easy. I'm planning to hide in the office with a hot lemon/honey drink and not venture too far. The weather is actually really, really nice today for January so I may head out at lunch and go to the health food store to get some Salba. I keep hearing that I should be eating it, so I'm going to check it out.

Raynes-- I'm really trying to cut caffeine out all together for 2 reasons. It really bothers my joints when I drink but I've just be accustomed to the pain (wth is wrong with me??) and I have anxiety and caffeine intensifies it and makes me have heart palpitations.

HI RAYNES! I'm trying to cut down on caffeine because I drink it ALL DAY. No water, just coffee and Diet Coke. I know how horrible it is for my body, so I broke up with Diet Coke this week as part of my body makeover, but one 16oz. coffee every morning is staying. FOREVER. I will never leave my coffee, and I will love it with undying and feverish passion for the rest of my days.

Did I just marry my coffee?

    Good morning!

Cutting caffiene is something I *think* I could do, but really won't anytime soon. I love my big mug of coffee in the morning!

I do try to limit soda to only 2-3 a week though.

Edie, I hate that feeling. It makes me feel so disconnected from the world.

Last night was the first night since we started our New Years resolutions that I didn't feel like I was about to die after getting off the elliptical. I'll take that as a good sign!

Today is dress like a superhero day at school. I'm wearing bright purple tights, heart PJ shorts over them, a pink sparkly tank top over a white long sleeve top and bright teal/green shoes. I look like a freak haha. I was secretly hoping that nobody would be outside at their cars while I was scraping my car this morning. Not so much luck. I got a lot of weird looks.

    HI BEC!! I luff you.

Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. I found things got a lot easier for me when I stopped drinking caffiene after 3 pm. That shiit can stay with you. Plus, water is just, like awesome. My suggestion there is to get a really kickass water bottle that you love. I have this one and it makes me happy. Plus, the lid locks, so I can't spill it. Well, I can, but not as easily.

Mara, that sounds like a reallllly good reason to kick caffiene to the curb!

I miss caffeine. I can't stomach coffee, tea or Coke/Pepsi right now (WTF, kid??!) and I really wish I could at least have one coffee, or a nice cold can of Coke. The caffeine-free stuff tastes weird to me, and doesn't sit any better than the regular stuff does, so I just sit and bitch about it under my breath.

Good morning ladies! Wow, Bec and B in the GM thread, this is a great morning!

I ran this morning and it felt great. I'm half way through my half marathon training program and I'm really starting to see a positive change in my stamina. I'm loving it. I'm getting super stoked for the race (it's my first), and I bought my Belle tutu for the race yesterday on Etsy. I printed out my course map and have it posted on my desk. The more I run, the less daunting it seems.

H is taking me to an Argentinian steakhouse tonight, and I'm excited for that too. I'm already hungry lol.

I'll second this suggestion. I have a Camelbak 24oz water bottle that I love, I always have it with me. I go through at least three of those in one workday. I find I drink more water when I have a straw, and the mouthpiece locks back so it won't leak. At home, I drink water out of my awesome Starbucks travel cup that Shay got me for my SS gift. :)
