OMG I'm SOO pumped too. I've been stalking MuggleNet and The Leaky Cauldron all day. And DH just booked our flights and hotel for Islands of Adventure for August!

• WEEE! I love HP! I'm going to watch right now!
image
• Not as excited as I am!

I was literally in TEARS at the beginning of the new trailer because I have this quote stuck in my head:

It was, he thought, the difference between being dragged into the arena to face a battle to the death and walking into the arena with your head held high. Some people, perhaps, would say that there was little to choose between the two ways, but Dumbledore knew - and so do I, thought Harry, with a rush of fierce pride, and so did my parents - that there was all the difference in the world.

Becuase I ugly cried in the book when he asked his mom and dad if it would hurt. Like, snotty ugly crying.

• OMG! EPIC. I don't want to wait a whole year to watch part 2 though. Booo!
image
• Oh. My. GOD!

Thank you for posting that, Nebb. And Alix, I ugly snotty cry through so many parts of the books I can't even count. Dumbledore's "remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy" speech hits me hard every friggin time.
• !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, I cannot wait! When it said "the motion picture event of a generation" I died, because I feel as if I've been waiting for this movie my whole life. (As stupid as that sounds, I can't remember NOT reading HP.)

I totally bawled watching the trailer. And I ugly cried reading the book, too. I got it at midnight (duh) and stayed up all night reading, but had a 7am flight. So when they arrived at Shell Cottage (I don't want to put up too many spoilers) I was ugly crying in the airport. I also took the book jacket off because I was paranoid some jerk was going to tell me the ending.

Oops, did my FBing it earlier this evening spam your feed with Pottermania? *evil giggle*

• Ugly cried and yelled through the whole thing right here!

And I gotta say, I'm glad they're finally finishing up, cause those kids are looking OLD.

Sooo...from my overanalysis of the trailer, it appears they are indicating that part one will take us up to at least the visit to Godrick's Hollow. Where do you think the split will be? Personally, I think it would be awesome if they went to the Lovegood's and left it with a cliffhanger of Xenophilius saying "Are you refering to the sign of the Deathly Hallows?" But there has been a lot of talk about it being at Malfoy Manor.

• I think the smart place to split would be when Harry announces they are returning to Hogwarts, but I guess - if all goes as WB planned - we won't know until November nineteenth.

• Is anyone else even slightly tempted to wait until '11 to watch it all at once? I don't know how I can stand it for a year, so I'm really thinking about waiting until the second one comes out. I highly suspect they will have some showings of the first one next year too. Way to make double money.

No. Not even a little. And they can have my money, I'm fine with that.
• Nope; not even slightly.

I will *hopefully* be seeing it a couple of days before it's released (perks of having best girlfriend work for Cineplex) and then I'll be putting in the requisite 4-6 hours in line for the midnight show. I can't help myself. It's like Twilight on crack for me.

Well WB is obviously all about the money. Just like they pushed back the release date of HBP to summer blockbuster season even though it was complete.

I ugly cried many times during the last book, and I bawled like a little baby at the end of the 6th. I didnt cry during the trailer, but I nearly did. I always cry during harry potter trailers.

• Oh, I don't have a problem with them capitalizing as much as they want. I'm saying that II'm banking on them having a re-release, so I'll still get to see it in theaters. I just don't think I can stand the suspense. Although that's like saying I don't know how it ends, cause I do. But it's totally different.

And I REFUSE to go on opening night. I swear I'm a die hard, but that means that I don't want to become a murder for killing the 10 yr old screamers because they are distracting me.

Im kind of worried what they will mess up by changing the story or leaving vital details out, like they have in all of the other movies. It always pisses me off that they change things that really dont need to be changed.

Haha! Ok, I'm totally with you on that. When the 7th book came out I made my boyfriend (now H) go down to the bookstore by himself while I power napped. I didn't want to take any chances that anyone would ruin anything. I was pretty sure I would committ murder.

I got in trouble when we went to see HPB because some child - I mean like, five year old - tried to run in front of me when they opened the doors to let us get our seats and, without even thinking about it, I straightarmed the little fuucker right in the cheek. Jason was mortified, I carried on going and got us brilliant seats. Some theatre dude came to tell me to control myself.

I didnt start reading until the 3rd book was already out but the second I picked it up I was hooked. Its just a brilliant book series.
• It was hilarious! I didn't even realize I'd done it but apparently I toppled the poor sod right over into the wall and he fell down. Oops. But still, I waited in line for five hours, you and your peewee legs are NOT running in front of me.

I will be at the midnight showing, in my school robes. Yeah, I'm that girl. The 25 year old woman with a Hufflepuff costume.

I still remember some of the costumes I saw when the books came out. There was a man once who was GIGANTIC and he was dressed up like hagrid and it looked perfect. Best costume ever.
