I missed the cake story.  Let's talk about it.
Posted by EaglesBride2012
Basically, last night I vented about how I felt like FI had gotten his way on a lot of wedding planning stuff, from the color scheme to the tuxes, and I felt like my vision had been lost in FI's vision- which is ok, it's his wedding, too, but I was all mopey about it. The only big decision I could think of that we had left was picking our cake, hence, I shared that I wanted a three-tiered cake, and people were very supportive.

• Snail's tiered cake will be the most epic tiered cake ever.

I've never seen "Sleeping Beauty". /ashamed

The first movie I saw in the theatre was "E.T." I was five years old, and I cried when E.T. went home. My parents bought me an E.T. stuffed doll a couple days later because I was still mopey. Little Wrigley was pretty emo.
• Beachy and MUN1 helped me come up with some awesome fighting words last night, so I feel pretty confident I'll be able to get my way... I just need to find a way to work it into conversation, so it's not like, "Snail, what time are you leaving?" "3 PM and I WANT A TIERED CAKE."
image
• Ditto everyone else on the cake, but I think you already knew that, Snail.
• Thank you, Holly!  I can't wait to get my pro pics back...I'm sure you're even more anxious!  Any word on them yet?
• We basically told her it's cake or death... so I expect to see pictures of that cake.

Aww, that's adorable. I cried when I saw the movie "Fluke" when I was a kid, because I thought that eventually the dog would get to turn back into the dad. My parents mostly just sighed at my lack of comprehension of logic.

• Snail, you need to be a little more bitchy with it.   "What time are we leaving?"  "I don't know, what time are we ordering my tiered cake?  5 minutes after that."
imageBabyFruit Ticker
• Holly, I watch it every Friday at work from 2 to 4. It's AWESOME. I watch Saved By the Bell for 4 hours before that. Except now I don't work at my Friday job anymore, so that's sad. I could still watch it at home, but I rarely watch tv at home.

• I haven't seen BMW in a long time, but to be honest, it wasn't one of my favorites.
• If you shop around you should be able to find a reasonably priced 3 tiered cake. If he still wants a sheet cake in the back for late nighters then tell him to go for it.
• I've been impatient since about 30 minutes after the wedding ended too, Holly.

Snail, I think that "3PM AND I WANT A TIERED CAKE" might be a perfect intro to the conversation.  Catch him off guard (:

I like this.

And before Eags calls me out for it, I promise to watch "Sleeping Beauty" ASAP. I'll see if I can find it tonight, even. I'm in the mood for a Disney movie. It's been a stupid day.

I like this. But I couldn't do it. Direct or bitchy do not work for me.<div>

• I have never seen BMW.  My parents were TV Nazis, I was only allowed to watch like 1 hour of TV a day and it was usually reruns of 1960's shows on Nick at Night.

Hahaha. I like you, Snail. Biitchy didn't used to be my style either, and it still isn't, for most people. But I can do biitchy with FI. Isn't he lucky?

• I did put my foot down and told FI how much  I really want to go see HG tomorrow, since it will be out of theaters soon and we have nothing to do. He seemed to like that I stood up for myself a little bit.

What is happening on BMW? Where is Topenga? I am confused and sad.

• I'm a complete sarcastic bittch.  If I was just super sweet to H one day he seriously wouldn't know what to do.  Same with him to me though.  We have a unique dynamic, but I love it.
imageBabyFruit Ticker
• I used to not be allowed to watch Salute your Shorts because they said the word "fart" in the theme song. And also because my mom didn't like the underwear going up the flag pole. True story.

Dude, I LOVED Nick at Nite. Blockparty Summer was awesome. I miss Bewitched BeWednesdays.

• I catch more flies with logic than with bitchyness with H.  Being bitchy just makes him dig in his heels.
• My parents were weird when it came to what we were allowed to watch on TV.  For instance, we weren't allowed to watch MTV or You Can't Do That on Television, but they didn't care if we watched movies like Cocktail (except for the suicide scene) and Pretty Woman.

I can only do bitchy with FI in the morning. But I can be bitchy with just about anyone for the first 30 minutes or so after I wake up, if they have the audacity to talk to me during this sacred time.

• Dragnet was my favorite Nick at Nite.  I loved that show so much as a little kid.
• I loved Salute Your Shorts!

OMG Block Party Summer!  That was my favorite thing.  I'd marathon I Dream of Jeannie, I Love Lucy, and Bewitched.  Bewitched was my favorite.

I was just thinking that. I have some super snuggly blankets that are perfect for guilty pleasure movies.

I hope you can find "Dressed to Kill". I own it, but I haven't watched it in a couple years. I used to have the entire thing memorized. :-/
