Re: TK is so old school.

• edielaura: are you freaking out??? this game is intense!!!!!!!!
• I know some people who have had disney weddings. I wasn't there for them and they were before my time. My one friend did give all the WP Mickey hats with our names on them.

• Edie, I don't know about you, but I feel like I'm watching a baseball game.  This score is way too high for the end of the first period.
• Whit - congrats on almost being done.

Special - that sounds really sucky. I hate watching family members of mine make asses of themselves.

And I would have made fun of someone for a Disney wedding too - I'm kind of sad that I missed it.
• We are going to Disney in June. I can't wait to see the honeymooners in matching hats. Or families with 20 plus people in matching outfits. Elliot and I have matching shirts because my grandparents work there and got them for us as a wedding gift. We might wear them just to be cliche.

hahaha
Ya we try to shut our windows when we watch hockey...but playoff time it doesnt happen.  I think our neighbors know.
• And in real exciting news, I set the toaster oven on fire while making breakfast this morning. That was quite the terrifying ordeal. But all is good. I got a bagel on my way to work instead.

• Thanks poke poke.

Yeah, I mean, I love Disney. I've been several times. But a Disney wedding? Guess my opinion should have been more of an "I don't get it" than a mocking. But, lesson learned.

• Well, I've seen "Disney themed" weddings that look nice. The bride used the colors of her favorite disney princess - Cinderella - and used that as her color scheme. Her favors were glass slippers with candy in them and she had a castle as a cake topper. So it wasn't like, over the top in your face disney themed.
• I do not get Disney weddings. I do not get Disney obsessions, either.
• The same friend who had us wear Mickey hats also had her entire house in Mickey. I mean kitchen, bathroom, everywhere. Since getting married it is now more contained.

I love Disney but there is nothing Disney displayed in our house.

It's not that I don't think they look nice. It just is odd to me. My two year old niece had a Cinderella themed birthday party. It looked nice. But I just can't shake the notion that Disney is aimed at children, no matter how much you dress up the pumpkin.
Steelerz, I think the high score is normal for playoffs? Hockey, we keep our windows closed too.  Last year a guy lived here who would always yell "WOO!" when he was watching sports. It was hilarious. We called him the WOO guy.
Posted by edielaura
Oh if it was "Woo" we wouldn't worry about it....but i think during the course of a game we yell every curse word there is....both for positive and negative....

"Are you F'in kidding me?" over calls
or
"F'in Right" when we score.

hahah
• Good lord. I don't think I like anything enough to cover my house in it from top to bottom like that.
• I like Disney movies. I like to watch them. I don't like the other stuff.

H's best friend and his wife (my closest IRL friend) refuse to dress their child in anything that has a cartoon character on it.

<div>haha aww :) I mean, it's cute. Our GMs and Shane wore cowboy hats for a few pictures after the ceremony. I guess that's similar?</div><div>
</div><div>Ahhh. I'm trying to be understanding! But I still don't get it! lol.</div>

• I also do not get flip flops with formal attire. Mel cemented that thought when she went on a rant about appropriate footwear at weddings and other formal events.

<div>I get that, but some people just have crazy obsessions. Did you see the "grown up" disney princesses that they came out with not too long ago? They're actually very pretty. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/b0ttledwater/6025144918/" rel="nofollow">Here is the link if you're interested.</a></div>

<div>I did! They are pretty. I guess it's just a lifetime of growing up with Disney movies as children movies, and I just can't shake the notion that Disney things should be left for kids.</div>

<div>Right? Which is another reason why slippers at a bridal shower seems silly to me.</div>

• Confession: as much as I dislike Disney stuff, I totally would have worn one of the Disney Princess gowns from AA, especially the Cinderella one (clicky).
• Random completely inappropriate post but :

H : Isn't the world supposed to end this year? Like 2012?
Me: ya
H: That is why D ick Clark died
• That dress is beautiful.

I wonder if I view Disney differently since I grew up going on a pretty regular basis and still live here. We have quite a few friends that have annual passes as well as many of my coworkers. I also have several friends who have gotten engaged there.

• The AA disney princess gowns are gorgeous! The first picture I saw of the Belle gown had the shrug off and I was so disapointed that it didn't have the off the shoulder look.
• H onky is a swear word?  Color me confused.

• Chels, it's a derogatory term for white people.
• Evening ladies!

I'm glad I'm not with FI right now, he's probably yelling at the tv and freaking out. He was giving me a play by play of the game via text, but he stopped, thank goodness. I hope the Flyer's win for his sake though.
