I'm dropping in and out while doing homework - how is everyone?

Nice job on going to the gym, martia. Waiting for the January craziness to slow down (and J-term to be over) before I find one.....I love the group classes. Do you belong to a chain?

I belong to bally and haven't had any problems.

I enjoy them, nothing fancy and my membership is only $9.99/mo and they have a wide range of classes

Nice! My mom was suggesting them - she wants to join a gym together. Heard mixed things about Bally's, but some were a while ago. Have they cleaned up their gyms (that's what I heard - they weren't the cleanest)

I belong to LA Fitness, and after my $20 insurance credit (if I go 12 times a mo), it's only $14 a month. I hate how crazy busy it is there right now, give all the New Year's folks a month and they'll be gone

The only class I occasionally go to spin, but there is only 1 instructor that I love, so if I can't make her class I do the elliptical instead. I also go to Opportunity Knocks in Arden Hills 3 times a week, it's a boxing/caveman gym. I got started through a Living Social deal in Sept. and now I am hooked

It's expensive though, $90/month unlimited classes, so I make sure to go at least 3 times a week. It is an awesome, kick-ass workout. I just got my new, turquoise gloves from Thailand today, so I am excited all over again!

that sounds way cool, martia- and motivating - turquoise gloves - congrats - is there meaning behind the color - or did you just pick a pretty pair (I would so need purple ones if that was the case)

Haha, it's my fave color

They are pretty bright though! When I was looking at the catalog at class, picking them out, I did notice they had purple!
I've been on full-out bridezilla mode since the first of the year with my workouts. I had that planned all along, since that would be about 3 months from THE DAY, and it's been going great so far. I love SparkPeople.com (whoever recommended that - thank you!) Now that I have Bpics scheduled I'm even more motivated

We got the 360 Kinect for Christmas - I am doing the dance masters, and the fitness game - they both are a great workout and SOOO much fun!!

I do love group fitness classes too though!

I have my first dress fitting in March - so yes, have buckled down now that the holidays are over. Now if people would just stop bringing in Woullet's pastry's and birthday cake, I'd be fine. (Resisted the pastry's, but had a small piece of cake today - same logic behind sb's chinese - it was worth it!) Just using the eliptical at my work right now...FI and I are buying one...that will be nice.

Should start tracking again - I use Calorie Count dot com - there's an about in there somewhere - is SparPeople like that?

My FI is currently playing XBox (shooting things with other dorks online), so I doubt he would be interested in dancing around with me if we got Kinect

Can't wait until our basement is done - AKA man cave!

kool! I so need to pull out my step aerobics...waiting for this sciatica to heal a bit. Stoopid lady who rearended me! Chiro said I can't do my yoga yet - well, the toning parts anyway - just the stretching.

I love spin and yoga classes - have done boot camp style before too though. blach! (but they work!)

Totally get that!! My FI loves his XBOX - we should have asked for the bundle where you get the xbox with it because now we fight over it! IT would have been nice to have two.

My poor puppy had surgery today on his leg. So he looks just miserable! But still hard not to laugh because he got his back half shaved for the incision and he looks silly. I guess now he will know how I feel when he drags me out in the cold and takes his sweet time

yes, I think that is the one my sister uses, it's similar. I love that there is an app for it on my phone so I can track everything when I am out and about.
Luckily I work from home, b/c the temptation of office treats can be too much

I got a sweet heart rate monitor for Christmas, so that has been fun to play around with. I had my first dress fitting last Saturday, so I could see exactly what I need to work on...ugh. Love the elliptical though, used to have one, but my dad wanted it back...so have to take my butt to the gym to use it.

We purchased a few games when we got the kinect. I just really wanted to get the fitness evolved, but he said we should get dance masters so he could work on his moves for the wedding dance. I about keeled over laughing the one time he played it!!! I think he will be sticking to black ops!

No cone yet - he isn't messing with the incision. My mom's dog had to wear a cone for an infection and he LOVED it. It was hilarious!! It was like his bling!! He pouted when it got taken off!!

Yep - Black Ops - I seriously don't know a single boy who isn't addicted to that game! Seriously don't get the appeal.... but whatever. I am pretty sure that FI thinks the same thing about TK!!
