I hear you, Angel. It's been super-quiet here all day. H left for the weekend so it's just me and the cats. I'm heading out in a few minutes to go to a friend's house for dinner and a movie. We may even knit. My life is so wild and crazy!

Haha that sounds like a nice day though, Bay. I haven't really seen much of my friends in the last few months. I don't really know why. I'll see them all next week for my friend's bachelorette party down at my shore house. It's already turning into a logistical nightmare though, so we'll so how that goes.

I'll have to look into them. I have a queue on my book rental site that has like 40 books on it... and I probably have 20 at home to read. I'm only supposed to have 9 at a time, but they're actually really terrible with their record keeping and they send new books before they receive the old ones.

Hey everyone, ugh this day started out with us finding out MIL is taking GMIL to the reunion, and are car pooling so i'll be with her all the way to Alabama. Then we found out H's truck needs over a grand of work done to it. I don't know we will afford it, we are already so far in debt as it is, all of our money is going to pay off credit cards.

Sorry to hear that, Mari. I wouldn't want to be stuck in a car with your GMIL either. I hope you can find a way to get the truck fixed... do you have any mechanic friends that could do it for a lower price?

Yeah, it sucks but we need to carpool for the gas money. No I mean H thinks he can fix it but it would still cost around $600 for just the parts, plus he needs new tires, and a front end alignment. This is just the beginning it needs a ton of other stuff too.

Car problems are the worst. My old car started giving me major problems about a year and a half ago and finally in February, I just got rid of it because I didn't feel like it was worth putting all that money into a car in awful (mechanical) shape that was 8 years old with 120,000 miles on it. I realize you're probably not in a position to do that right now. I hope you can figure something out. Are there some repairs that are most important that you could make now, and then make others later?

Yeah his truck is about 11 years old, low milage though for the age, that's what he's been doing he's taken care of the little repairs and now the bigger ones have gotten worse. Not sure what we are going to do.

Yay, Holly!! Can't wait for you to AW them! My photographer said he generally gets pictures back pretty quickly. I need to find out exactly what "pretty quickly" means. I know he'll do a blog post within a few days at least, so that will hold me over. Maybe.

We're doing our engagment pics in 10 days and I'm nervous about how they'll turn out. I have no idea what to wear, what FI should wear (trust me, I can't leave that decision totally to him) or where to have them taken. So clearly, we're in great shape for that, haha.

I just made chicken nuggests for lunch and discovered we don't have ketchup. Wish I'd made that discovery before I cooked them. We don't have honey mustard either, but that wasn't a surprise, since we never have that.

I fucking love those books. I want to be Thursday so badly. But not with the whole people-shooting-at-her-a-lot part. Or the disappearing husband. Just with the reading herself into books part.

I love Spike. He might be my other favorite character besides Thursday.
