I am helping a friend research calligraphy prices.
What is a reasonable price for adressing envelopes or place cards?

    I found them to be anywhere from $1 - $4 an envelope depending on which script you pick and which calligrapher.

    There is a calligraphy class starting on Tuesday next week at Hopkins community center.  The class is 6 weeks; Tuesday nights from 7-9p.m.  Not sure if there are any openings in the class, but she could check it out if she's thinking about DIY!

    I am sending mine to a girl in Pittsburgh.  That is where I am from.  I am am paying   .50 cents per envelope.  I did a ton of research and she was the most reasonable .  My sister used her a few years ago and we really liked her.  I am shipping them to her in a few weeks after I get my addresses together.  Her email if you are interested is lmmcalligraphy at comcast dot net . She sent us a handwritten sample when we emailed her.   Good luck w/ your search.

    I am asking my step mom to do it- she has the best handwriting of anyone I've ever seen, plus it will help me with spending more in other areas.

    Also- if you want another idea- I saw this on a blog ----- address each envelop on the computer using a pretty font.  Print it out in very light gray, and then you can write over it yourself.
