Tell me

Tell me what the most interesting thing about yourself is.  Or tell me what you think of me.  Whatever.  I'm keyed up after finishing one paper, but can't motivate myself to work on the next.

Thanks, AATB.  I'm enjoying it here, too.  Homeboy.

@ Katie--I'm not surprised!  You love your pets and it seems you take very good care of them.

    @Jas--You always have interesting facts.

@ Blue, please expand on seeing dead people.
  • Another interesting fact: You can use the same prinicples to train your dog and your child. Most people do it without realizing it. Operant conditioning- i.e. You actually have no autonomy. It is both awesome and sad.

  • Oh I was totally the bad cat owner Pasq. We lived out in the boonies and one day I saw this pretty black cat in the corn field. She started living in our garage, then in our house. Then one day she had 4 little baby cats (mom still has the one survivor). We figured "Ok, we'll get her spayed once they stop nursing". By the time they stopped nursing she had 5 more!! Then a tomcat and kitten come out of the woods who look exactly like her so we adopted them too.

Now I just have my Demon, who was going to be left on the street if I didn't take her in.

I have seen them since I can remember.  Its hard to explain without coming off as some weirdo. It used to scare the shiit out of me when I was a kid but I ignore alot of it now.  I lost a boyfriend because of it too.  I saw his dead sister (that I never knew existed) and he didnt believe me.  Even when I explained her to a t and told him her name.

I can walk into an old building or house and feel energy and sometimes its like I know what happened there.  It kind of pops into my head.  I dream things that happen too.  I knew my sister was pregnant within a week of it happening the first time and she denied it for months.  I also dreamt her delivery and knew she was going to have a girl.  I didnt tell her because she wanted it to be a surprise.  I am also great with tarot cards.

Thats really the best I can explain it.

  • Blue- That would scare me. I used to have that happen when I was younger, and no one believed me and then it kind of stopped. (For the most part.) I think I told my creepy house stories before.

Aw, that reminds me of my mom.  We already had a cat and dog, but she found a pregnant stray starving on the street.  When she brought the cat food, the cat ate it, but would chase after my mom every time she tried to walk away.  Years later, we still have the cat.  She's named Gymmie, since she was found outside of a gym.  My mom has a big heart, but she's not the most creative :).

Wow, I think you win most interesting.  This alternately fascinates and terrifies me.  FI and I both believe in ghosts big time and I'm pretty sure we have one in our apartment. Things always move around or turn on of their own accord.

Most of the time they are just there.  Sometimes they talk, well, its kind of like they put what they want me to hear in my head.  Sometimes its just the energy or noises or lights.

I think if I got more into meditation and stuff I would be better at it.  At this point I really dont like seeing them because they make me feel nuts.

    TELL!  It's "interesting stories" time.
  • AATB, there is a lady in Salem who has a shop.  She is a world renowned psychic medium.  I go to her shop sometimes for incense and candles and stuff.  I was in there one day and she came up to me.  She looked at me dead in the eyes for about 10 seconds.  Then she goes "I know what you can do and I know what you can see, dont be afraid of it, embrace it."

I almost shiit my pants.  Lol.

Sometimes.  Well, most of the time.  My dog usually sees them first.

I should add that there is a little bit of a difference from ghosts that everybody sees and the things that happen to me.  Ghosts usually haunt 1 place or leave their energy or impression there.  I have seen relatives that passed or spirits that are around certain people in places that have nothing to do with where they lived or died.

  • Creeeepy. It makes me want to cry just reading about it, I'm such a wuss.
  • Hmm... alrighty...

So my great grandmother on my mom's side was, well - a witch?  Or a psychic.  Either way, she could tell what was going to happen, and she could MAKE things happen.  For example, my grandma (my mom's mom, and of course, great grandmother's daughter) was re-married and my great grandmother didn't approve.  She used to tap his belongings and they'd break when he'd use them.  Sometimes his coins wouldn't work in parking meters.  One of her things went kinda bad, though.

When my mom was in high school, my great grandmother gave my grandma (I hope this isn't confusing) a nightgown for her birthday and told her that her husband would love it.  But every time my grandma wore the nightgown, she felt bizarre - like she was really tired, woozy, and that she felt like something was literally weighing her down.  She told my mom about it and my mom just flipped out - because she knew it was another one of my great grandma's "spells" or whatever that had gone wrong.  So they took the nightgown out to the back yard to the fire pit to burn it - lit a match to it, and it wouldn't catch fire.  They soaked it in lighter fluid and it STILL wouldn't catch.  Eventually it finally started to slowly burn and both my mom and grandma SWEAR - they could hear tiny, quiet screams coming from the nightgown as it burned.

Toward the end of her life my great grandma used to see things - and get knocked around by things.  One time something pushed her so hard she flew over the top of an ironing board - and my great grandpa saw the whole thing.

My mom and grandma dabbled a little bit into Ouija boards - but my mom started having some experiences that scared her.  One time she was in her bedroom and everything started shaking violently, like it was an earthquake - she lived in Southern California so it wasn't uncommon.  When it was over she ran out into the living room and asked her parents if they were ok - and they were fine, because they felt nothing.

After my mom moved out of that bedroom, my uncle (her younger bro) moved in.  One night, he was laying in bed, and heard something breathing near the foot of his bed.  They had a lot of pets so he turned his light on to see which of the animals was in there - but a search turned up nothing.  He shut off the lamp and shortly after the breathing returned - right in front of his face.  He swears it was a hot, heavy breathing and smelled horrible.  He RAN out of there and has never been back in.

My mom and grandma stopped with the Ouija boards, and after that my grandma walked around and blessed the house and nothing happened until two years ago, just days before I went out there for a visit.

My grandma awoke in the middle of the night - at 12:30 am - to a man standing at the foot of her bed.  She says he was dressed in white, and had his arms outstretched.  She says he didn't seem like he was threatening - but she could tell he was a ghost.  After a minute he turned and walked out of her room and down the hallway.

The next day, she hesitated to tell my grandpa (step grandpa, who my great grandma didn't like) about it (he sleeps down the hall, because he snores, lol).  But she did.  His eyes just got really big and he said that the SAME exact guy visited him the night before at 12:30 am too.  He actually spoke to the ghost, because he was pretty startled by it as the house hadn't had anything happen in years.  He said "What the hell do you want!" and the ghost turned around, hugged the TV which sits on top of a dresser across the room, and then rushed out.

Those are just a few things.  Gosh I wrote another huge wall of text :(  But yeah.  I believe it all.  All batshit crazy of it.
